Life Lately: Week 39

This is what the past week looked like.

Pop of orange sunset.

This was a delicious TJ find.

In the office for a two day summit.

My coworker/friend and I decided to save the company money and share a hotel room and have sleepover, but they only had a king bed available so it turned into a funny story.

Dinner, karaoke, and casino night at the hotel was so much fun.

Day 2 of the summit.

Information overload called for a little snack.

Box lunch.

Happy hour.

It was a full and fun two days and I got home Wednesday night and was asleep by 8:30.

I didn't like her first book so I don't know why I read her second book, but this one was more enjoyable because it took place in Miami (my favorite city).

It even took place at a hotel we ate it (Watr!) so that helped bring the scenery to life.

Manny is watching the heat leave the lake.

Sherbet skies.

Wow!

I'm obsessed with flavored water and I tried a new flavor that's quite tasty.

At work this week we were talking about the best ranch and we all agreed Jet's is the best and I was informed you could buy it in bottle form so you bet I did.

Another incredible sunset.

I finished The Paris Daughter in the hot tub at sunset, which is my preferred reading method if I can't be floating on the lake with a book.

Fave quotes:

"If you give a person a book, you give him the world."

"I've always believed that books are simply dreams on paper, taking us where we most need to go."

"Even if life transforms us, we are all who we are at our core, our whole lives through."

"I think... that sometimes, the roads we don't know we're walking are the ones that lead us to exactly where we're meant to be."

My sweet Benny made me a necklace "with a lavender gem because I know that's your favorite color."

My heart melted.

Family supper.

We always have a great time when we are together.

She is so grown up here I can't.

We occasionally break out into snow bowl fights when we are together.

That uncle and Ella bond is just precious.

Is he broken?

We're still swimming!

Old man Manny.

I think our nights on the porch are numbered because it's getting cold at night!

Savoring these sweet moments.

What a beautiful illustration of grief.

Love.

Great perspective shift.

The cutest.

It's funny because it's true.
