Life Lately: Week 40

This is what the past week looked like.

Can you spot the GBH?

Oh hi neighbor!

I made chicken stir-fry and it was a winner winner chicken dinner.

Fall skies.

Peaceful.

My sweet boy.

Happy October!

Spaghetti with zucchini noodles.

Pops of pink.

Laying by my slippers, aw!

I didn't see this coming, but with 75 degree temps and no wind I got a little floating in after my swims.

10/10 recommend.

No notes.

Sail-ebrate every moment.

G and I are a family who celebrate doing brave things and I love that about us.

We usually only go to Bowdies for birthdays or anniversaries, but they had an opening and we couldn't pass it up.

I took this photo for my brother's app.

You get daily prompts and have to share a pic related to as many prompts as possible.

It forces me to be creative and I recommend it, you should join too! :)

The steak is perfect every time.

Crispy on the outside and melt in your mouth on the inside.

Downtown Lansing.

Watching over his kingdom.

Tell me you haven't grocery shopped in two weeks without telling me.

Boats are leaving the lake, wahhhh.

Started decorating for fall.

Just keep swimming.

Manny had a vet appointment so he was on doggy downers, but they didn't even get to his shots because his allergies were so bad.

He has been red and itchy so I've been giving him Benadryl like usual, but it was the worst it's ever been. :(

Manny is on all the meds right now, poor guy.

The water is refreshing.

Getting my hair did.

"A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life." Coco Chanel

I stopped into Horrocks to grab dinner and enjoyed live music while I waited.

Horrocks is cooler than your average grocery store.

Fall is in the air.

Life is gourd.

Homecoming weekend.

Manny at sunset.

Tried a new place (located inside Horrocks).

Coffee with a side of Manny.

G cleaned the kayaks and after a swim (possibly my last swim of 2024 on 10/6) we went for a kayak ride and it was glorious.

Deck sitting Saturday.

This was cute!

Fave quotes:

"She kept a tissue in the sleeve of her sweater in case something truly funny happened. You've got to love a person who leaves the house prepared to laugh."

"You get a dog and you know two things - you're going to fall in love with it and it's going to die one day. You knowingly walk headfirst into a heartbreak. That's the basic madness of dog ownership."

"Life's going to do what it's going to do. You might as well have a dog... Because that's what life is - joy peppered by loss. It's why you get a dog. And then you get another dog."

His head on my leg though, swoon.

Grilling weather.

Our boring old blue and white chlorine holder broke so G bought this cute little turtle and it makes me happy.

Life needs more whimsy.

I'm so into the new season.

YES!

"Let your likes guide you."

Go Lions!

Love.

This is adorable.

Yep.

Lol.

I've totally thought this before.

Bahahaha.

So beautiful.

I had hibiscus flower clothes in the 90s and now all I think about is TJ's, ha!
