This is what the past week looked like.
You can have the blanket... and my heart.
A snowy Monday feels like a soft reset.
Egg-stremely grateful for a breakfast sandwich.
This book wanted to be Daisy Jones and The Six, but it lacked emotional depth and deep character development.
The fatphobic elements were disappointing and impossible to ignore so this is probably the last Weiner book I'll read.
I threw together the most random dinner - chicken, brussels, artichoke, kalamata olives, and sweet potatoes - and somehow it turned out to be one of my best meals.
The sky is opalite.
Another winner of a dinner (x3): taco bowls with cauliflower rice, cheese, black beans, lean ground beef, and a Greek yogurt and avocado sauce.
My neighbors dropped off some homemade goodies, and the moment I opened the door, they started caroling.
It was so unexpected and charming that I felt like I’d stepped straight into a Hallmark movie - warm, joyful, and full of holiday magic.
The moon was impossibly big and beautiful, shining bright like the sun.
Volunteering at the library, wrapping books for kids, was pure joy from start to finish.
A little spa moment.
Candle Day is one of my favorite days of the year - there's something special about a house full of new scents.
But honestly, some of these scents have gone too far.
It’s giving less ‘interesting’ and more ‘what even is that?’
The golden hour casting a honeyed glow across the lake.
Take my blanket and my whole heart too.
These taste like Cocoa Pebbles in the absolute best way possible.
The weather has escalated quickly.
Wasn't it just 60 degrees a couple weeks ago?
A call with my besties is pure soul medicine - laughs, venting, and catching up all in one.
It left me lighter, happier, and completely recharged.
My neighbor’s candy Christmas tree always makes me happy - bright, cheerful, and full of whimsy.
She also has the best taste in funny signs - her house is a perfect mix of classy and hilarious.
Game night!
So...we did a thing...
G found a new home for our couches.
Furniture shopping in progress…
Frosty and fabulous.
Christmas chic.
Funny story (that isn’t funny yet): I ordered a decaf Miel, it wasn’t decaf, and I was wide awake until after midnight.
My downtown gives off major Hallmark vibes.
Unexpectantly delicious pizza from our little town's Christmas market.
All my beloved Bravo shows are on right now - RHOSLC, BH, Potomac, and Summer House.
It's the most wonderful time of the year!
Still deeply committed to my sleepy girl mocktail era.
Snow day serenity.
While it wasn’t my favorite of her books, I still found it to be an enjoyable read.
Fave quotes:
"Cam takes a novel out there, sits in a deck chair, and just plunges deep into its pages, like diving into a pool containing other worlds."
"To real readers, sales don't matter, prizes don't matter. She sits in a chair every night and just has the time of her life."
"Maybe fiction is one of life's great comforts."
"The thing about grief is that, when it happens to you, you go through the looking glass. Suddenly, everyone else lives one kind of life, with one set of problems, and you another. You're in a different world now, one you can never return from. And you only realize too late how good the first world was."
"Sometimes, you pay a price for happiness. It's worth it, but you still pay it."
"The German word is Weltschmerz. Translated as 'world-grief.'"
This is the kind of show that welcomes you back like an old friend.
Your future self is shaped by today’s choices.
Coffee tastes better together.
Happy December!
Such a top-tier experience.
Give me all the fresh pine candles.
100% agree.
This is me.
I am her.
Eloquently said.
Heck yes!
Another gem from James Clear's newsletter.
Still thinking about this.
I feel seen.
Beautiful perspective.
Goals.
I’m embracing this journaling challenge with openness and curiosity.
Hot tip.
Panique attaque, lol.
The good old days.
For more life lately:
