This is what the past week looked like.
Egg roll in a bowl is what's for dinner.
We finished the latest season of Only Murders and it was a good one.
Sweet pup.
The Bath and Body candle sale was a few weeks ago and my candles delivered, woohoo!
Coca-Cola polar bears.
There's a dog under there.
Last in office day of 2024.
I went to my work Christmas party and a sweet friend and I were wearing penguin sweaters.
We had dinner at The Alloy, BC's newest restaurant, and my spiced cranberry margarita was delightful.
My salmon was excellent as well.
This book was so disappointing.
Fave quotes:
"When my husband passed... it was like losing the bookend to a row of books. We all tipped over sideways."
"I can't think about the lost time because guess what, time doesn't work backwards anyway."
Christmas pedicure and sweater pants (most comfortable pajamas ever) from one of my besties.
Somebody went to the groomers.
Dreaming of a white Christmas.
Ready for an adventure.
We had dinner with my parents and dropped M off.
My parents' sub is so festive.
Manny didn't miss us at all.
Off to Fort Lauderdale.
This was a cute little read I finished on the plane, though I do not recommend reading it on a plane!
Fave quotes:
"He doesn't yet know how many times we watch Christmas movies in our lives."
"You can run away from your life and your past, but there's no way to distance yourself from your own heart."
Our resort is shaped like a ship.
This is what I mean when I say I'm dreaming of a white Christmas.
Hotel inspo.
Fun fact: Analyze That filmed a scene in our hotel restaurant.
My dad took this great picture of Manny watching a deer.
This cute little marine village was across the street from our hotel.
It was fun to walk around, people watch, and check out all the restaurants.
The boats were fun to look at too.
Happy hour.
Pizza from Mister 01.
Night life.
Coffee at sunrise.
Picture perfect.
While exploring Fort Lauderdale we stumbled upon a Santa race.
Beach snowman.
The lifeguard stands are just as cool as they are in Miami.
Brunch with a view.
Crab benny and cheesy grits from Casablanca Cafe.
Being touristy.
Meanwhile Manny was living his best life with his grandparents.
"This champagne shore washing over me."
10/10 recommend my lemon drop martini.
While we sipped our cocktails we watched a wedding on the beach.
See also: how sweet that her dog walked her down the aisle!
Lobster mac and cheese at Bo's Beach.
The marina at sunset.
I was taking a photo of the sleigh and reindeer lit up, but we ended up on that boat.
Stay tuned for next week's recap! :)
I feel seen.
Ha!
For more life lately:
