This is what the past week looked like.
Pickle salad with a veggie burger is a lunch favorite.
Find the beauty in every day.
Brats and pasta salad is a quintessential summer dinner.
Goof.
In bloom.
The best part of reporting out budgets to leadership is the free lunch.
Peach sunset skies.
Golden hour.
I had to try the Cheez-it tostada for research purposes. ;)
New fave cocktail is a take on a cocktail we had in California called Spa Water.
Anyone else take pictures of the menu for cocktails you liked and try to recreate at home?
This had cucumber and lime vodka, Fever Tree Elderflower tonic water and a squeeze of lime juice.
Cotton candy skies.
Sunrise walk.
Lunch with coworkers was a fun break in the day.
Department meeting at the Battle Creek Country Club.
Happy hour.
Sushi is always a good idea.
Doesn't it look like Manny is smiling for this picture?
We visited our neighbors' new house up north for the weekend.
The house was beautiful.
Sweet Jovie girl.
It was a cold and rainy Friday night, but the view was lovely.
Dinner and drinks at The Douglas Lake Bar and Steakhouse.
After dinner drinks at Dam Site Inn.
The decorations were so eclectic.
The bar walls were made from car upholstery.
It literally felt like walking back in time.
We didn't even have internet service, ha!
Fun fact: Bob Seger frequents this restaurant with his family.
We played Balderdash and laughed so hard.
Good times.
Meanwhile Manny was living his best life.
Breakfast at Brutus Camp Deli.
See also: Dave's snowman coffee mug, lol.
One of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had.
Jam sesh.
Boat day.
The houses on the river were stunning.
Boating life.Burt Lake!
ET...er...I mean Jovie.
Pretty delicious dinner at The New York Restaurant.
Harbor Springs in all it's summer glory.
We drove by our neighbors' old house in town.
Meanwhile Manny was watching the birds just like he does at home.
After dinner drinks at the Depot.
Our server was funny because I ordered this drink that wasn't in their system yet AND wanted decaf coffee so he kept teasing me about being high maintenance.
Late night snack.
Deer spotting in the backyard.
Delightful breakfast at Wilson's Rivers Edge.
Home sweet home.
There really is no place like home.
Haha.
I hate driving at night.
I feel seen.
Agreed.
For more life lately:
