Life Lately: Week 26

We are halfway through the year, can you believe it?

This is what the past week looked like.

Sunrise walks with M.

Manny sleeps all day long while I work.

Turkey sandwich for lunch.

Road trip to Indy for a supplier visit.

My coworker and I stopped in the cutest little town on our way to the hotel.

Thankful my coworker is up for trying a local restaurant (Foxgardin) with great Yelp reviews.

The prettiest lavender lemonade you ever did see.

This corn dip with chorizo was spectacular.

But my filet mignon gnocchi stole the whole show.

It was so good I ate my leftovers for breakfast, ha!

You are loved!

Downtown Indianapolis.

Home for the night.

Coffee before a long day.

Working lunch.

Being a nerd.

It was a long day, but I made it back to my boys by 9 p.m.

Culver's is my jam.

Therapy was pretty mind blowing this week.

I asked my therapist about resiliency because I have been stuck in a woulda, coulda, shoulda mentality about my injury a month ago.

She said I was blaming myself and that was holding me back from bouncing back.

Whoa, I'm still processing this and learning to be kinder to myself and realizing shoulding on myself won't change anything so I wanted to share in case anyone else is struggling to bounce back from a setback.

We will always make pesto pasta with tortellini from here on out.

Game changer.

We (finally!) had some good rain.

Still obsessed with my Laughing Cow cheese, egg, and everything but the bagel seasoning breakfast.

M is sleeping next to me during storms.

Turkey wrap for dinner before premarital mentoring.

I call it the moist maker and the trick is a little mayo and mustard on one side and gauc on the other side of sandwich.

Having a moment with Vitamin Water acai blueberry pomegranate zero.

The air quality has been bad again and my thoughts and prayers are with Canada.

New fave snacky snack.

New hair, who dis?

Stopped by our local bakery for quiche.

Downtown Howell is one of my fave cities that I called home for 6.5 years so it will always hold a special place in my heart.

Cheers to reuniting with an old neighbor I haven't seen in over 20 years.

We all had the steak tips at Diamond's because they're the best.

We will not let another 20 years go by before we see each other again.

We walked around downtown and window shopped.

Frozen latte at Uptown Coffeehouse.

Sweet sidewalk.

Of course we had to wine taste at Mainstreet Winery.

Pop of color.

My mom and I were laughing at how small these sample beers were.

We checked out Aberrant Ales because we had never heard of it before.

We asked our server if they just opened and she laughed and said they opened in 2017.

We were late to the party, lol.

The lake is open again after an algae bloom and it was so nice to see people in the water again.

I brought home a pizza from the winery for dinner and G and I rated it in our top five pizzas ever.

Sky on fire.

G and I just finished the 17th book of the Bible.

Quiche for breakfast from the sweetest little bakery.

Dog days of summer.

Patriotic nails.

Find the beauty in everyday.

Your girl is back in the water and couldn't be happier.

New month, new phone screen.

My sweet ten year old.

RHOOC is back and it's fun again.

Bragel

Wiped out.

G made one of my faves, his famous beef strog.

Pop of pink.

Independence Day is one of my favorite movies and we watch it every fourth of July weekend.

This speech is the BEST.

Somebody got frozen peanut butter in his treat.

He was content for hours, ha!

Deep.

Such a good idea.

We talk a lot about boundaries with our mentee couples.

Make the next six months count!

Convicting.

Truth.

Life is brutiful.

I feel this deeply and am working with my therapist on being more mindful and intentional.

Eek.

Haha.

Well now I can't stop thinking about this.

This is amazing.

Totally!

It is not okay.

I would camp in this.

This is my philosophy.
