September Goals Revisited

I know I say this every month, but WHERE did this month go? It went scary fast and the weather was so temperamental. Some days were freezing cold. Raining. Then some days were in the high 80s and sunny. It was crazy but I loved all the sunny, warms days. Don't go summer! But I digress... Lets see how I did with my goals this month.

1. Go to a Lion's game. It was more fun than I thought it would be. It helped that we went to a fun, fancy restaurant before. I'm a foodie at heart! The game was a lot of fun though. The crowd is something you just have to experience once in your life. It's energizing and intoxicating. We saw a few great plays and a few Lions touchdowns which was cool. The crowd goes NUTS.

2. Morning devotional and prayer journaling each morning. I realized I'm just not that into Jesus Calling. I have a thing about starting January 1 and I just cannot recommit to it later in the year so I'll try again next January. I started doing Captivating instead and I love it! It's such a great start to my day.

3. Grocery shop at Aldi's. We started going to Aldi's every other week. We can't get everything at Aldi so going to two grocery stores each week wasn't going to happen so we alternate between Sam's Club/Kroger and Aldi. It's working out really well. I'm learning to stock up on things so eventually maybe I won't even have to shop every week, but we'll see. I might be getting too ambitious. Also, can we talk about Aldi's three wick, $4 candles?! AMAZING.

4. Lose six months this month. Well I only lost two pounds this month, but truthfully I'm just happy to see the scale move after 1.5 months of plateauing. I'm confident I'll reach this goal next month as I'm finding my weight loss groove again. I really think the FitBit will help too!

5. Find a church to call home. With two super busy weekends and two sick weekends this just didn't happen. GAH. We did do church online, but we need to find a church to call home. Community is important.

6. Go to the farmer's market. See above for why this didn't happen this month either. Bummer!

7. Date night once a week. We have! We have tried out a few new restaurants and even had a bonfire on the deck with a glass of rose. It was fun, quality time just the two of us and sometimes with fun friends.

How did your goals go this month?

What a good month you had! I can't believe how fast it went as well! But it was a great one - it was my birthday this past Monday, which was fabulous! I'm always so impressed by you - this month I'm actually going to set some goals and see how I do. Thanks for the motivation!
