I'm going to start doing a house tour each week showing a new room. I hope that will inspire me to keep furnishing. I am THE most indecisive person when it comes to decorating. I just do not have the eye for it and when I do decide I like something I start doubting how it will work. It is just a whole big ordeal. It stresses me out. Not to mention we severely lack furniture upstairs and I just rather go on vacation then buy furniture.
Anyways. I am happy with the how the living room turned out. It was a labor of love bringing the pieces together. Especially the wall art. But we could not be happier with the result. Also a huge shout out to our friends Natalie and Sarah for generously donated their coffee table and TV stand. We love both so much. And a huge thank you to my parents for the recliner that was never intended to be up here, but kinda grew on us.
Here is the before:
Ahhh how the wood makes me cringe. It was well worth the effort it took to paint it all. It took more trips than I would like to admit to finally decide to make our own wall decor and settle on decor for the fireplace mantle. But! I finally love the space the way it is.
Here is the after:
It is exactly what I want it to be. Cozy. Comfortable. Relaxing. A great place to unwind after a long day. Many a game night and small group has been hosted in this little room. Interestingly, the zebra chair was a big risk for me but has become my favorite piece in this room.

Love that red wall, your house looks beautiful!
I really want to try to paint our molding white at our house! Inspiring to see someone actually do this! Hopefully someday I'll make the time! :)
