Life Lately: Week 34 (Part 2!)

This is what the second half of week 34 looked like.

You can catch part one here.

Pirate ship spotted.

In line for the ferry to Mackinac Island.

We were some of the last people to make this ferry so while I didn't love sitting in the closed in area, I'm glad we didn't have to wait another half hour.

Grand Hotel!

Charming.

The island does not allow cars so the transportation is horse and buggy or bike.

It feels like stepping back in time.

Fort Mackinac.

Bark chapel.

I geeked out on the history of the fort, but the views!

G told me to take this photo and it turned out pretty cool.

Cannon ball!

We heard the food at the Tea Room was overrated, but we couldn't resist a drink and appetizer with those views.

Lunch and a show.

This yacht was coming into the harbor and we couldn't stop talking about how huge it was and wondering what the person did for a living to afford it.

This wasn't a bad white fish dip, but the best is at Pink Pony (in my opinion).

THAT view.

Such a quaint island.

Hold your horses.

Lunch with a view.

Aperol Spritz.

We went to Mary's and shared the most epic white fish and truffle fries.

The water was cold and the beach was rocky, but gosh is it stunning.

The best sound in the world.

I love exploring new places with my guy.

The houses were gorgeous.

Oh you know, just a place to tie your horses.

There were so many bikes (and people!) so it was a little overwhelming, but I know we need to come back and stay on the island to see the Grand Hotel and bike the island for the full experience.

A day was not enough time.

Drinks at the iconic Pink Pony.

G's Pink Pony 75 and my Mackinac Island Fudge Martini were our favorite drinks of the trip.

Yachts and mansions.

On the ferry, but this time on the top deck for the ultimate experience.

Goodbye Mackinac!

Mackinac to Mackinaw.

Bridge views.

Such a different experience on the top deck of the ferry.

We parked behind this hotel and realized this sign may not have been updated since 2017, lol.

Back at the cabin for sunset.

Spectacular evening.

Wow.

Bridge at night.
