This is what the second half of week 4 in Miami looked like.
You can catch part one here.
"Mind on a permanent vacationThe ocean is my only medication"
- Zac Brown Band -
Pocketful of sunshine.
I got paradise in the palm of my hand.
Orange Blossom for bottomless brunch.
The food was pretty delicious too.
Zen vibes.
After a full beach day we walked to Espanola Way.
We ate at Hosteria Romana and we agreed the bread and olive oil was the best we ever had.
The gnocchi was pretty fantastic as well.
Coffee just tastes better with this view.
We had one cool and cloudy day...
But because we're from Michigan we grabbed extra towels to use as blankets and had a beach day.
My favorite travel partner.
We finally tried Yardbird (it'd been on my list for awhile!), but I wasn't impressed by the food.
G said it was the best chicken he ever had so that makes the whole experience worth it.
Liberty Street.
I'll never get over the stunning architecture in Miami.
Turkish dumplings at Byblos.
The best meal of our entire trip was the roasted lamb shoulder.
It was even better than I remembered it.
The whole vibe at Byblos was cool.
A deejay was behind us playing great music, the lightening was moody and romantic, the restaurant is beautiful, and we just had the best time.
Would you believe this was taken at 8:30 at night?
Another start to...
An Epic...
Sunrise.
Fancy car spotted at the fancy 1 Hotel.
Can't beat this view at Watr at the Rooftop.
It was such a cool restaurant.
My ahi tuna bowl was incredible, but G's sushi was even better.
See also: best truffle fries!
Our vacation routine was waking up (without an alarm!) right before sunrise and drinking coffee on the balcony.
We would enjoy the show (errr... sunrise), and read The Bible Recap.
We would go for a beach walk (with a few dips in the ocean along the way), swim a few laps in the pool, hit the hot tub, walk to brunch or lunch, spend 5-6 hours on the beach reading/people watching, taking dips in the ocean, rinse and repeat.
We would head back to the pool for a few more laps and then another dip in the hot tub.
Then we would head back to our room and get ready to go out to dinner, watch a movie, and be asleep by 9:00 each night, lol.
It was perfection.
Beef and cheese croquettes at La Mulata.
Give me all the Cuban food please and thank you.
This is a good exercise to stay in the moment and I practiced it often on vacation.
Amen!
This made me laugh way too hard.
This is funny because it's true.
For more life lately:
