Life Lately: Week 35

This is what the past week looked like.

Tried a new Indian restaurant and it was the best takeout I've had in forever.

Sugar face.

Lunch lately.

I enjoyed this book.

Fave quotes:

"The sea throwing back its own light, reflective and fluid like a sequin dress."

"I think I'd be pretty happy if my life made for boring TV for a long while."

Snacky snack.

G and I prepped an hour a day leading up to hosting family and that is the way to do it because the day of we weren't rushed or stressed.

I need to document this for my own records in case I get the privilege to host next year.

Monday: I vacuumed the boat and G cleaned out the kayaks and paddleboat.

Tuesday G tilled the beach and I sprayed weeds.

Wednesday I cleaned the main level and G weed wacked.

Thursday I cleaned the basement and emptied the dishwasher.

Friday I cleaned the bathrooms while G set up tables and chairs.

Saturday we set out lawn chairs, lawn games, wiped down the boat, and test drove the boat.

In office day.

Celebrated national sandwich month.

"From the rising of the sun to its setting, the name of the Lord is to be praised." Psalm 113:3.

Chicken sheet pan dinner.

After dinner boat ride.

I met my mom and family friend for lunch on my last summer Friday of the year.

On cloud wine.

Capped off our fun day with a lavender latte at Black Iron Coffee Roasters.

I was today years old when I learned about these toilet tabs and I'm obsessed.

We have hard water and these have been a game changer.

Cormorant spotting.

Rolling into the weekend.

It's a beautiful day for a family reunion!

Making memories.

My heart was so full seeing everyone enjoying the lake, sitting on the deck, playing yard games...

And taking the boats out.

Captain G taking out the first group.

Reunited and it feels so good.

Gang's all here.

Going with the flow.

It was in the low 70s, but my neighbor told us to put the mat out because the kids would use it and she was right.

Cousins by chance, friends by choice.

I shouldn't have stressed about the food, Italians know how to do food.

Different branches, same tree.

Three sweet cousins enjoying a boat ride.

12 people on the boat is our new record.

My cousin Jen's husband wins cocktail contests so my cousin Kim asked him to make her a drink.

We laughed about it and then a few minutes later he actually came out with a delicious concoction that we all loved, ha!

The best part was he found elderflower berries and lavender in our yard.

My cup is full.

Sunday morning boat rides on a quiet lake are the best.

Brunch at Coopers' Hawk.

10/10 recommend their brunch.

Celebrated my birthday 30 days late, but had to use my birthday coupon before it expired.

Another round on the boat after brunch.

Good cloud day.

I was so into this show and waiting for something to happen, but nothing ever really happened.

This is why her engagement is important.

Good reminder.

It's funny because it's true.

I love a viral moment that everyone is talking about.

This is so Manny.
