Oscar Night!

I love award shows. I get so excited to see what everyone is going to wear and to hear the speeches.
Last night was not a disappointment. I thought Anne and James did an amazing job. They were getting dissed on the radio this morning but I think they did a good job. Though Hugh Jackman will forever be my favorite host.
Favorite dress of the night:
Hilary Swank. Classy, yet fun with the feathers. LOVE.
Favorite speech:
Christian Bale. I love the last line about his daughter teaching him more than he ever could teach her. Adorable.
Favorite winner:
Colin Firth. I have not seen this movie, though I'm dying to! Colin has always been my celebrity crush and I am so happy to see him doing so well at his trade.
What about you? What did you love about last night? Hate?

Hugs

I had yesterday off since I worked over the weekend and have been pulling ten to thirteen hours days this week. It was pure bliss. I slept in, drank coffee, read, cleaned, grocery shopped, and kickboxed. It was productive, yet so relaxing. An added bonus was Garth was able to come home early from class so we had dinner together and an old friend stopped over. Perfect day!
Today it is so cold outside and I had to be up at the crack of down for meetings all morning, but I only have one more left. Woohoo! And Garth doesn't have class today, yayayaya! So we get to go to small group together and them tomorrow is date night. So. excited.
Happy Thursday!

P.S.
For all of you who love "The Bachelor" check out the host's blog here. Your welcome.

The Good, Bad, and the Ugly

The Good: Garth made this amazing chicken pesto pasta last night. So delish! How lucky am I to have a wonderful hubby who goes grocery shopping and has dinner almost finished when I get home from work?! He is the best!
The Bad: After our delish dinner we were so excited to watch "Tropic Thunder." We have been waiting for this movie to come to DVD! Sadly, the movie was NOT funny at all. Dropping the f bomb every other minute is not funny to me, sorry.

Award and the One Year Destination

I have received an award from Brie and wanted to pass it on to 5 other deserving bloggers. I have never seen this award before so here is the deal: The award is called "Blogging Friends Forever Gold Card."
There are three rules attached to this award:

1. You may only choose five people/blogs to give the award to.
2. Four have to be dedicated followers of your blog.
3. One has to be a new follower of your blog or live in another part of the world.

This was really hard because I love all the blogs I read.

1. Lynds (All Things Fluffy...Fashionable...& Famous!) Her blog is so fun to read. She is so sweet and funny. Seriously, go check out her Subway story on her blog, it's hilarious!
2. Mrs. Mojito (Make Mine a Mojito). Her blog is full of fun stories, great recipes, decorating tips, and cute pictures.
3. Adventures in Normality is a witty blog. I enjoy reading as she is about to move into a house with some new friends.
4. Mrs. Buck (Mrs. Bliss) has a blog like mine because it documents her life as a newlywed. I enjoy reading their new adventures. She also includes fun recipes, book reviews, and cool pictures.
5. Shea (Shea's Way of Life) is a new follower of my blog. I love reading her blog! She is fun and interesting and I am looking forward to more great posts!
