Life Lately: Week 14

This is what the past week looked like.

Walking four miles has been the perfect way to uncover the hidden gems of my charming town.

Chicken stir fry is what's for dinner (x3).

The weather perfectly aligned with my office being under construction.

My sidekick.

A thunderstorm moved me into the basement to see the lake from a new perspective.

Don't sleep on Culver's Cashew Chicken Salad.

The sweetest boy.

Loon spotting.

Moved back into my (new and improved!) lavender office and loving it.

10/10 recommend this hummus with falafel, lettuce, and rice for a little lunch.

Kathy - the one with the red headband - was wearing it when I complimented her, and she immediately texted her sister about it.

The very next day, while we were out on a walk, a car pulled up and out stepped Kathy’s sister, holding a gorgeous pink headband she’d made for me!

This had a unique plot and was just the cutest cupcake of a book.

Favorite quote:

"That's the magic of stories. They entertain you. They challenge you. They comfort you. They transport you to somewhere only you can find, and somewhere you can stay for as long as you like."

G wanted to make this recipe on a cold and rainy day and who am I to argue? ;)

Coffee tastes better on the porch.

My step count has drastically increased walking four miles a day.

I picked up this adorable raincoat during the Amazon spring sale, and G said I looked like Paddington

But when I shared it in the family chat, Jess said I resembled Gordon’s fisherman, and Ella thought I looked like Coraline.

LOL.

Deep into Levitical law.

I've got a pocketful of sunshine.

I like big lemons and I cannot lie.

Manny smelling bacon: a love story.

I bought myself flowers.

Unputdownable.

Favorite quote:

"We will own a lawn mower here for the first time in our lives - an essential bauble on the charm bracelet of Successful Adulthood."

Signs of spring: rain showers and daffodils.

Cheers to sweet family time.

I put together little Easter baskets for the kiddos.

Greek feast.

We colored, played Uno Attack (so fun!), and played ping pong.

Dubai chocolate tower.

Friday is good because Sunday is coming.

Easter week.

"He did not enter by means of the blood of goats and calves; but he entered the Most Holy Place once for all by his own blood, thus obtaining eternal redemption." - Hebrews 9:12 -

I don't want to miss the joy in the journey.

I feel seen.

Accurate.

This hit especially after reading this in The Flipside:

"An average guy will have a bad day or a bad week. A high performer will have a bad fifteen minutes."

Happy April!

I've curated my feed for inspiration, but I still need to work on my screentime.

Life truth that's best to accept now.

Funny because it's true.

This made me lol.

The Bravo news is wild right now.

I dislike April Fools Day.

Speaking of April Fools Day, this was a joke and yet I'm craving it now.
