Fit Friday!

The stats this week:

Pounds Lost: 1 pound

To Go: 54 to go

As I like to say, a loss is a loss is a loss. I'll call that a success! Especially because this week has been insanely busy with an off site retreat, some really early mornings and not much time to work out or walk on lunch.

Tuesday I did take a lunch and instead of walking around the sub near work, G and I went to the River Walk Trail and enjoyed a peaceful walk on the river. It was so nice and such a great break from a busy day.

I don't know what it is about water, but it instantly calms me. I love it so much. That was definitly my workout highlight of the week. Since I'm in between Alpha and Beta my workouts were pretty random this week:

Sunday - T25 Cardio
Monday - Walk Manny 45 minutes and The Shred on lunch
Tuesday - Walk Manny 45 minutes and 45 min walk on lunch
Wednesday - T25 Speed 1.0 and walk an hour on lunch
Thursday - Walk Manny 25 minutes
Friday - Walk Manny 25 minutes

We didn't eat out at all this week. I meal planned again this week and did a lot of cooking. I really think I spend more money when I cook than if we get take out everyday. It gets really expensive! I do love how the Produce section of my shipping list is overflowing. You know you're eating healthy when that happens!

A favorite has been bagel and avocado with a Sargento Light String Cheese. It's a filling, delicious breakfast. Or I will share this bagel with G and have two hard boiled eggs. It's a nice change from the eggs in a mug.

Another food success this week was beef stew in the crock pot. It was such a hit! For more of my eats this week check this post out

I start Beta next Monday and I'm excited! I can't wait! I got this cool planner to start getting my life in order, meal plan, and schedule my workouts. I get excited about little things like this.

How are you guys doing?
What are your meal planning tricks and tips to not spend so much money?
Anyone else plan their workouts?

Yay for a loss! I actually started the Whole30. You should check it out sometime. Best luck I have had for loosing weight. They have a book about the whole idea behind whole 30. I also do schedule my workouts. It's the only way to ensure I do it.

Congrats on the loss! As for meal planning advice I am no expert but one thing that helps me keep costs down is I check my receipts and I add up how much it costs for me to make each meal. It takes a little time, but I know which meals are the cheapest for me to make. Also, I make a double batch of some things so I can freeze half for the following week. This enables me to save some by buying some ingredients in bulk or splitting ingredient cost between two meals. If you're interested I posted my
meal plan this morning. Also, at the end of the post I included some info on a healthy living link-up I'm hosting on Wednesday. Feel free to link up any posts like this one!
