Fall Bucket List

While we were at the lake house a couple weeks ago my dad mentioned how he had read about a survey that concluded if you hadn't tried something, like sushi, by the time you were 39 years old you would never try it in your lifetime. Whoa. That is just crazy to me. I can't imagine never trying sushi.

Turning 30 I realize 39 is not that far away and I don't ever want to be afraid of trying something new. Learning something new. Being a little bit adventurous. That is why I'm a big fan of bucket lists. I am a homebody by nature so I like creating lists like this. I do well with lists and being able to cross things off. My bucket list is over my lifetime and my 30 before 30 list is still active for my 30th year with a few things left to cross off.

I thought it would be fun to create seasonal bucket lists since seeing so many on pinterest. I did this a little bit this summer informally with Garth. We just brainstormed a few things we wanted to do before summer ended like take a day trip to Grand Haven, go to our local beach, etc. But I thought I would share our fall list here to keep us accountable.

Without further ado, here is our fall bucket list:

Go to a cider mill. Duh!

Apple picking. My mom and I are planning on going in two weeks.

Host a football party. I don't enjoy football, but I love a good get together around a football game with fun friends and family and good food!

Make at least one crock pot chili recipe a week. This should be an easy one since I'm obsessed with chili/stews.

Go to the zoo. This is on here because I can't remember the last time I was at the zoo. If we don't get to this one I'll make sure we do this over the holidays for sure.

Try a new restaurant on date night. I have a list a mile long in my phone of all these cool restaurants people have told us to check out, but we always end up at our favorites. This isn't a bad thing, but it's time to branch out!

Go wine tasting. We are actually planning a trip with a few friends next Friday night. Yay!

Make my Great Grandma's Lasagna. I didn't get to this on my 30 before 30 list and I've been wanting to do it ever since.

Plan a fall weekend getaway. On the calendar for early October with another couple. So. Excited.

What's on your fall bucket list?

I'm determined to use my crockpot more this fall...and soups/chilis are a great use for them!
