I have been back at tracking calories on MyFitness Pal, walking on lunch, and I even started a new workout DVD. I purchased Jillian Michael's Shed and Shred last week. I was hesitant at first because I already own so many Jillian videos that I worried it would be the same. But I have this loyalty to Jillian that I just can't explain. The verdict? I love the new video. It is super challenging, super fun and there is not any overlap in moves from her other videos. It was the best $9 I ever spent. I have been so sore lately and dripping in sweat after level 1 that I have not advanced to the second level yet.
I noticed after vacation that my "fat jeans" as I affectionately call them were tight. Bummer. But I wasn't too surprised considering I ate a lot of good food on vacation. Now, two weeks since vacation, I noticed those jeans were falling off me so I decided to give a go on my old jeans from last summer. They fit! So after two weeks of this video I'm down two sizes!!! Two more sizes and I'll fit into my "skinnier jeans" and two more sizes and I'll be back to my goal weight pants! Eeeeeee!!! There is a light at the end of the tunnel.
In other random news, since this post is turning into randomness quickly, I think I may have a thyroid problem...or Type 2 Diabetes. According to WebMD. My symptoms include weight gain (20 pounds in one year when not much has really changed with my diet or my exercise regimen), always cold, pee A LOT, and hair shedding. I finally stopped self diagnosing and made an appointment to get a physical and get everything checked out. Maybe it is something serious that needs medical treatment or maybe it's just that I'm getting older and my metabolism is slowing down. But it's time to stop self diagnosing and be proactive about my health. I'm 30 now, you know.
So in a nut shell I started a new workout video. Watching what I eat. Down two sizes. Going for a physical to make sure I don't have a thyroid or Diabetes issues. How's that for random? How are you all doing?

ooh - I'm glad you posted about that video. It tempts me at Target, but I think it's the 45 min part that keeps me away, I really like to just do 30.
It will be good to see what the doc says after your physical. SO many women have probs with their thyroids, me and Jill included. It at least will put your mind at ease!
Good job taking a break from the scale. I have not exercised at all this week outside of walking, so unlike me, but maybe my body just needed a break - and I'm ready to go back now!
Wow, great progress! I love our new approach without the scale!! Good luck with your appointment, too!
Awesome job lady!!! Keep it up...you're doing great! And thanks for the review of the DVD..I hadn't heard of that one yet...I'll definitely get it now!
