Christmas Gift

Garth and I have done the traditional thing by buying each other gifts for Christmas, but we much perfer going on vacation as our gift to each other. We love going away so much. But we are so indecisive so we can't decide where we should go.

Then we toy with the idea of getting a puppy for Christmas as our gift to each other. There are a few adorable lab puppies at the pound that I have my eye on.

Then we saw a bedroom set at Art Van Furniture that came with a 42" TV for a ridiculously good price. Decisions, decisions!

What would you do? Do you go traditional and buy gifts for your spouse or do you buy a fun, big item or vacay together?

I think vacay is awesome because the memories you make will mean so much more than any material thing :)

We usually buy each other a gift. This year, we have just small gifts for each other and are thinking of getting an Ipad as a joint purchase. Vacation is always fun, too!!!

I love the idea of doing a vacation. It is so good for your marriage to get away and have time together without dealing with work, groceries, etc. We are going on a trip in April with another couple, but we did give each other a budgeted amount to spend on gifts too.

So far we've been buying each other gifts! I love vacations, but we usually can't travel at this time of year, so we do our vacations in the summer, and get Christmas presents too!

Uhm, both? Hahahaha. That's totally cheating. We bought a doggie this year for Christmas but we're still also doing gifts... Gift giving is TOTALLY my love language, so for us, finding meaningful, loving things for each other means a lot too.

If buying a dog is anything like it was for us, when you find the right one, you'll KNOW and you won't want to use the money for anything else.

Both :) We usually buy quite a few gifts for each other & we just bought an elliptical & TV. We also have a big trip planned for this year. But that's really for my birthday, so it doesn't count ;)

We like to do big gifts like airline tickets. But, we usually still wrap something small under the tree... ;-)

I think you should go with the puppy! It will bring so much joy to yours and Garth's lives!

My vote is for the puppy! As long as you guys have the space and the time I think it's wonderful to give a puppy a loving home! We give gifts to our Angel and my nieces and this year something special for my MIL. We'll fill each other's stocking but no gifts under the tree :-) And our Anniversary is NYE so we usually plan something for that. This year is a surprise I have no idea what we're doing!
