If you know me at all you knoq I don't like anything with bone in it. I always buy boneless or I would never eat it. So the thought of cooking and cleaning and getting a mess of a turkey in my kitchen stresses me out.

Reviewers even said boneless turkey was juicier and more flavorful than bone-in. I'm totally thinking about making this recipe for our Thanksgiving now. I would obviously try out the sauce ahead of time and make sure it's amazing and that my family would dig it first.
My question to you is: Would it be totally inappropriate and untraditional to not make the bird the traditional way?

I am a sucker for fried turkey. I'm so southern...
First off, I think you should do what you want to do!! Just because you are hosting, doesn't mean that you have to serve a traditional meal.
However...I would also say that some guests may not like white meat of the turkey. I personally prefer dark meat or a leg. Just something to consider.
Lastly, you can buy a turkey that has all the innards in a bag. I usually throw that stuff in the trash!!
Good luck....I did my first Thanksgiving two years ago (and now every year after that) and as long as you are organized, you will be fine. This year we are going to try on in our smoker!!
It's still turkey and will be all be the same once it's cut! :) I say if it makes your Thanksgiving less stressful and you're enjoying your time with fam and/or friends, I say go for it! :)

My brother in law always cooks our dinner (for the past 15 or so years) and he always cooks only boneless turkey breasts, YUM can't wait!!
Not at all! I believe it's better to cook what you & your family are going to eat. And I saw that recipe in her magazine too! Looks delicious!
that recipie looks delious!!! I'm all in favor of the turkey breast. I hate dark meat anyway and I think most turkeys end up so dry anyway. They seem like such a hassle with the days of unthawing and hours of cooking.. do what you can do and that'll be best :)
