Baked Ziti

I can't believe I'm going to share this recipe. It is my secret weapon recipe. My recipe to impress. My go-to recipe when I have a bunch of people coming over and I want them to think I am a great cook. The recipe I always use when I'm making dinner for a co-worker that just had a baby, or more recently for Garth's co-worker that just had surgery.

But I'm going to share it because it is so good. It is always a hit when I make it. It is also so versatile. You can make it like the recipe states or you can add onions, zucchini, ground beef, ground turkey, sausage, etc. It's so stinking easy that anyone I have ever made it for will no longer be impressed with my cooking skills. But that's okay. It is just too good not to share!

First up, the ingredients:

Ingredients
1 (26 oz.) jar Pasta Sauce (any flavor though I love the garlic or veggie)
1 1/2 cups water (not pictured)
1 (15 oz.) container ricotta cheese
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (about 8 oz.), divided use
    1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
8 ounces uncooked ziti pasta (though I have used many kinds of pasta and they all work just fine)
Directions

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.

Combine sauce and water. Stir in ricotta cheese, 1 cup mozzarella and Parmesan, then uncooked ziti. Spoon ziti mixture into a 13x9-inch baking dish. Cover with foil.

Bake 55 minutes.

Serves 9 people / 343 calories per serving.

I usually make it in a Dollar Store tin so I don't have to go without my one and only 13 x 9 pan and so the family I make it for doesn't have to worry about dishes or getting the pan back to me. It is always a hit and so stinking easy to make. Your welcome!
