5:30 a.m. My alarm goes off and I roll out of bed and start the coffee. While the coffee is brewing I make my lunch for the day. Pour myself a cup of coffee and grab The Power of a Praying Wife and begin my devotional.
6:15 a.m. Work out. I rotate between 30 minutes on
the elliptical or Jillian Michael’s Ripped
in 30. Today is Ripped in 30 and
while it’s not my favorite thing in the world because it kicks my butt, I feel
100 times better afterwards.
6:45 a.m. Make breakfast (usually an egg mug or
Luna bar) and eat after I shower, while I’m doing my hair and makeup. This is
the part of my morning that is hectic. I try to find something to wear, get my
make-up and hair done and race out the door.
7:20 a.m. Leave for work and start my commute.
8:00 a.m. Arrive at work. I check my voicemails,
answer emails, work on sending out emails, purchase parts, make invoices, file,
etc.
11:00 a.m. Meeting on a new review process.
1:00 p.m. Take my lunch. Today I eat toast with
Jiffy’ Natural Peanut Butter with Green Tea. I spend the rest of my lunch
walking. This is my quiet time to pray and since I’m reading the Bible in a
year I read the verses for the day.
2:00 p.m. Back to work. Afternoons are usually my
busiest time with lots of projects and phone calls.
5:00 p.m. Life as a commuter - driving home. I
used to carpool with a friend but she is on maternity leave right now. Sad
story. I miss our drives, they definitely made the drive go faster.
5:45 p.m. Home from work. Grabbed the mail, start a load of laundry, and got
to work on dinner. Tonight I made Weight Watcher Taco Casserole. I am such a
sucker for casseroles. So good!
6:30 p.m. Garth got home from work. He runs after
work so he showered while I read a magazine and waited for the food to finish
cooking. My magazine of choice right now is Every Day with Rachel Ray. Love. Right before we eat dinner I put the clothes in the dryer and start a second load.
7:00 p.m. I’m sad to admit this because Garth and
I promised we would never be these people, but we sat at the coffee table and
watched TV while we ate dinner. Putting head down in shame. I know. I KNOW. It’s
so bad, but it just became a habit. We still talk while we watch TV, but it is
so nice to just relax and not have to think about anything. After dinner Garth puts the first load of laundry away and put the second load in the dryer.
8:00 p.m. Garth does the dishes and we talk about
our day. Garth heads downstairs to the basement to watch some baseball and I
catch up on the latest episode of The
Real Housewives of New Jersey. I don’t know why I love this show so much
but I do. It’s my guilty pleasure. Garth puts the second load of laundry away. Do I have the best husband or what?!
10:00 p.m. Wash my face, put on my pajamas and go
to bed.

Sounds like such a productive day! I wish I could force myself to get up early enough to work out before work. Real Housewives is one of my guilty pleasures too :)
I love carpooling, it helps the drive so much!
I'm glad I'm not the only one out there who's a commuter ;)
