My good friend's apartment burned down a couple weeks ago so she has been staying with her parents. We had her over for the weekend for a change of scenery and some fun! We took her to lunch, went shopping and then came back to our house for pizza and hanging out with Garth and another friend we hadn't seen in a while. It was fun having house guests and catching up.
I have been wanting to paint my nails turquoise for a while now. I finally did this weekend and love the summery look!
Garth and I have been wanting a patio set for a while. We had our eye out on a few we liked and were waiting for a sale. Finally this past weekend the one we had been eyeing went on sale and Garth purchased it as an early birthday gift for me. I could not be happier! I love it so much. We have taken full advantage of it too. We eat dinner out there every night and lounged around on it all weekend. Just what I wanted. The seats are so comfortable and it is the perfect size for our deck. And I just love red...not just because it matches our grill!
We also purchased some tube lights this weekend. They are going to look awesome strung on the railing of the deck. I will post pics once we tackle that project. And it will be a project because they have to hang straight or it will drive us crazy.
I introduced my friend to Pinterest this weekend. She is planning a deployment party for her brother so we had fun getting ideas. How awesome are these ring pops as guest gifts?

Summer is going way too fast. As it usually does. I'm planning to savor every second of August because I know the leaves will be changing and the temps will drop way too soon. How is your summer going?
