My birthday is a month away and I always look forward to Garth's gift because he is the BEST gift giver! He knows the key to my heart. It's not clothes. Or a day at the spa. It's not even jewlery. It's staying at luxury hotels. Last year he
surprised me with a trip to the gorgeous Grand Traverse Hotel and Spa. Amazing! But this year he asked for my help to plan my birthday trip because I am good at getting deals.
I got us an amazing deal at this beautiful hotel:

We stayed at this hotel briefly for a wedding last fall, so I'm excited to go back and enjoy the pool:
We have a beautiful room on the river and we booked the weekend trip today so we wouldn't miss the great deal going on at the hotel. Maybe turning 26 won't be so bad!

Wait a minute - I know that hotel! It's the Amway Grand in Grand Rapids, MI, right? I stumbled into that lobby once when I was lost a million years ago and felt just like that scene in Pretty Woman when Julia Roberts first walks into the Regent Beverly Wilshire!
How fun! I hope the spa is 1/2 as good as the one at Grand Traverse! I love that spa, even if they did accidentally rip off one of my toenails during a pedi. OUCH! :(
