This is what the past week looked like.
Monday vibes.
Had to capture this moment - new personal best in Monopoly Deal: $110M sitting pretty in the bank.
Pillow hog.
Loving this creamer.
Sunlight dancing on the water scattering diamonds.
Soy into sushi (see what I did there?) ;)
Benny the artist.
I took the week off for my birthday (best gift to myself!) and on Wednesday my mom and I went to Jess' to help organize the kitchen.
We worked hard, had a delicious lunch, and had some laughs.
Sweet Roak.
Pretty margarita, but not the tastiest.
Mexican food.
Patio sitting.
My parents.
These are a few of my favorite things.
Evening swim at my parents' pool.
Ended a lovely evening watching the Billy Joel doc with the rents.
Coffee tastes better on vacation.
10/10 recommend breakfast at the pool.
Date night.
G and I continued celebrating my birthday with dinner at one of my favorite restaurants in our little town.
My cocktail had two of my very favorite flavors: lavender and pistachio.
After dinner we walked over to a little concert in the park.
Brown-eyed girl.
Home by sunset is my idea of a great night.
Molten gold sunset.
Per tradition my mom makes me a zucchini pie for my birthday every year and I look forward to it every time.
See also: my mom is the best.
Fun summer read.
Fave quote:
"Good things happen at the lake."
My week off was well planned.
Monday and Tuesday was just G and I floating and enjoying the boat.
Wednesday and Thursday I had lovely family time.
Friday was a nice day with me, myself, and I (and M).
Fish snacks.
Ended the week celebrating my birthday with the family.
We went around the lake a few times and then anchored the boat by the house and took turns jumping off and jumping onto the lily pad.
Long live summer.
Still thinking about this.
Deep.
Another gem from James Clear's newsletter.
Yes please.
"Action relieves anxiety."
Good advice.
Lol.
Ha!
I feel seen with that 1985 skincare routine.
It's funny because it's true.
For more life lately:
