Life Lately: Week 27

This is what the past week looked like.

Chalk art spotted on a neighborhood walk.

Time to wine down.

Date night at Cooper's Hawk.

I need that pineappletini in my life again soon.

If gnocchi is on the menu I'm probably getting it.

Vacation Lindsey enjoyed the week off on the lake.

Porch sitting.

Leisurely walks around the lake.

Lavender latte, yes please.

Starby's breakfast sandwich with a side of cherries.

King of the castle.

This was heartbreaking and beautiful.

Fave quotes:

"She tries to remind herself that her least favorite thing about herself is how much she cares about what other people think. And that they probably aren't thinking about her anyway."

"You don't have to be completely healed to be everything I want. To be mine, I love every part of you... I love the parts of you I haven't even met yet."

Swimming, floating, and reading on the lake is my idea of a good staycation.

Neighborhood watch.

G's famous burgers.

Deer spotting.

My snuggle bug.

Just a boy and his goggles.

The kiddos decorated summer cookies.

Pool bound.

We hadn't even set our beach bags down and the kiddos were in the water, ha!

Lunch break.

Back in the water.

It was such a fun family day.

Cucumber bites.

Swimming in the rain is one of my favorite things to do.

Still going through all the Mission Impossible movies.

Give me all the summer foods.

4th of July boat parade.

Sleeping beauty.

Happy Birthday, America!

Obligatory firework picture.

Our neighbor puts on the best show.

McDonald's breakfast sandwich is better than Starbucks.

TJR is one of my favorite authors and this was a five star read.

Fave quotes:

"I think it is also the relief I feel that those stars are immovable. Nothing you or I could do will ever alter them. They are so much bigger than us. And they will not change within our lifetime."

"Bravery is being unafraid of something other people are afraid of. Courage is being afraid, but strong enough to do it anyway."

"Admitting you were afraid always took more guts than pretending you weren't. Being willing to make a mistake got you further than never trying. The world had decided that to be fallible was weak. But we are all fallible. The strong ones are the ones who accept it."

"Just one person of five billion, on a small planet orbiting a small star, in a humble galaxy, one of billions of galaxies... She is so insignificant but look what God had given her."

Rainy Sunday afternoon.

Loving The Valley, but please get Jax off my screen.

See also: I own the bathing suit Kristen is wearing!

Speaking of bathing suits, you know it's been a good week off when my bathing suit drawer is down to the last two.

This is what it looks like full for reference.

"A beautiful life is not stumbled upon, it is built. It is chosen. It is nurtured over the years."

I heart summer.

It's true, you know.

Deep.

Happy July!

Perspective shift.

Still thinking about this poem.

Raises hand.

I feel old.
