Life Lately: Week 22

This is what the past week looked like.

Our neighbor is so talented and chalked this beautiful illustration to remember it's not just a long weekend.

It's so much more and I'm thankful for their sacrifice.

The long weekend was hot and sunny and I spent the whole weekend floating or swimming.

My SIL sent this sweet pic of baby Ella and I can't even with the sweetness.

Unofficial start to summer.

Flowers are in full bloom.

Hello Fresh's Shawarma Chickpea Lettuce Wraps.

Orange skies.

As soon as I throw our blankets on the floor to wash them he cuddles up.

He never did meet a blanket he didn't like (and the ones he can't have are even more appetizing).

Hello June!

Did you know you can take pictures of plants, swipe up and your iphone will identify them?

Stop and smell the flowers.

Snug as a bug.

Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken (with black beans, cauliflower rice, avo and cilantro).

I'm a sunshine and sunsets kind of girl.

The afterglow.

This is shocking if you know me and how much I love Bath and Body Works candles... But Aldi candles might be my new favorite.

Sunrise walks.

The fire alarm started chirping while I was in a meeting and Manny hid under my desk shaking, poor buddy!

$61 to fill up my little Cruze, that's a record!

My mom and I met in Williamston for a fun day together.

Let Lindsey and Mom's Day of Fun beGIN.

We ate good food, had great conversation, and laughed a lot.

Isn't this so pretty?

Now I want to paint our front door blue and plant these pretty pink flowers.

The stores downtown are so eclectic and cute.

Aww love her so much.

McDonalds ice cream is delicious.

It's so green and lush in Michigan right now.

Williamston is so petty and how cute is the butterfly bench?

I finally went to Whole Foods for the first time and it's just as good as I expected.

I got G these cute Michigan shaped sour gummies while I was shopping in downtown Williamston.

I bought myself flowers.

I met the sweetest store owner (Joy and Posy, check them out in Williamston!) who used to be a buyer (like me!), buy now she owns the cutest bridal boutique/gift shop.

She made this sign so of course I had to buy it.

I love supporting local.

Shopped until we dropped!

Hello Fresh's Roasted Garlic and Zucchini Flatbread at sunset.

Yum!

My snuggle bud.

Whole Foods quiche.

Verdict = expensive and I think my homemade quiche is better.

I'm not a big Molly Shannon fan, but one of my fave podcasts talked about how lovely she is and read the below quote and I knew I wanted to read her memoir.

"I feel so lucky. I got four and a half years with my mom on earth. I'm grateful I got that time with her. It's substantial and thank God I had that. Losing my mom at such a young age gave me this urgency - like, This is it: you are up to bat, baby! Because you never how much time you're going to have with someone. It gave me a sense of gratitude for the time on earth you do have with people. I don't take any of it for granted... And some of that stuff that people complain about... I can't relate to. I just think, They are alive. We are all alive. Nobody is dead. I think that a lot: There is nothing to be upset about. We're alive!"

She is so real and raw and honest and I couldn't put the book down.

We got our neighbors' mail over the weekend and they brought us this amazing dip from The Cheese Lady.

Amazing!

My SIL and brother got this great train set at a garage sale and one of the train cars is my company.

How cool is that?!

Hello Fresh's Louisiana-Style Tilapia.

Yay Nadal!

Aldi sushi is legit (in the frozen aisle!).

RHOBH and Ozark is really good TV we watched this weekend.

Hello Fresh's Shepherd's Pie was the perfect Sunday supper.

Thank. You.

Remember and honor.

I'm such a one... and I love the Leslie Knope quote.

Aw!

Agreed.

Yes!

Mind. Blown.

Love this.

Preach!

Right!?!

100.

Hahaha!

My favorite way to enjoy tomato soup, ha!

It was a stressful time.

Cute.

Pretty much.
