Life Lately: Week 44

This is what the past week looked like.

Happy November!

Banana chocolate chip pancakes.

The best blueberry coffee.

I finally finished this book and I am NOT a 3 at all (like the online tests told me!).

I'm definitely an enneagram 1!

Fall in Michigan is magic.

Harvest bowl is my new favorite fall meal.

Of course I didn't follow the recipe exactly...

I cooked my chicken this way, subbed in cauliflower rice, didn't put apple in and only used balsamic vinegar.

We went to our neighbor's house to see the final basement reveal.

It's so beautiful!

Soph.

After work walks with Manny.

Loving my Dollar Store pumpkin lights.

Cosmo.

First fire of the season.

Taco Tuesday.

Quiet time.

Wacky Wednesday at work.

Advent Calendar Day at Aldi is my favorite!

Sushi lunch with a sweet co-worker.

This sweater at Target is so soft and comfy.

Our sweet mentee couple said our house was so cozy.

That's the ultimate compliment because I love cozy.

I love a cup of peppermint tea while we go through the premarital material.

I gave myself a pedicure.

Funny enough, when I was looking back at last year's week 44 I had given myself the same exact pedicure, ha!

l kinda struck out at Target (and also I'm not fashionable) so my coworker took me to Maurice's on lunch and was my very own personal shopper.

I bought myself a whole new wardrobe for the new job, ha!

l finally tried Popeye's!

My co-worker has been saying it's better than CFA for years and I finally tried it...

And it's better than CFA!

Chinese food for din.

He brings me Starbucks.

Lunch with a sweet co-worker on my last day.

New hair, who dis?

So weird to see my cube so empty!

See also: G made fun of me for wiping down every surface of my desk (including drawers).

The quality manager had made fun of all the quotes in my cubicle so on my last day (after he went home) I taped them all to his office door.

He texted me that he loved it and would keep them up, aww!

Sunset walk with Manny after my last day because I had ALL THE FEELS.

We had a best employee trophy and I gave it to my manager before I left and thanked him for hiring me and he replied that it was one of the best decisions he ever made.

Cue the tears.

Starbucks on Saturday tastes better.

It was a lovely day of relaxing, doing yard work and reading.

Sunday morning we dropped Manny off at the dog sitter and he got along with her dogs so well.

I have an itch to get Manny a brother now.

G and I had lunch at Lucky Rooster.

I had the salmon over crispy polenta and it was delightful.

Bloody Mary (with a side of bread stick, ha!).

G had the mimosa flight.

Exploring downtown Battle Creek.

Selfie in front of my new office.

It was a beautiful day.

BC is a cool city.

We stopped in to Handmap Brewing for a beer.

Then walked around a bit more and explored.

Since I had to actually go in the office Monday morning for my first day we spent the night at Firekeepers Casino.

It was such a cool place.

It gave us a little bit of Vegas vibes.

We swam laps and relaxed at the pool.

Selfie before dinner.

A little before dinner cocktail.

We ate dinner at Nibi (at the hotel).

Views of the fountain with dinner.

We both had the steak and it was okay.

I was kind of annoyed because the steaks were expensive and they came overcooked.

l needed to hear this.

So true.

THIS.

Love.

Yes!

Well said, Craig.

I used to have a folder like this in college (titled "Makes Me Smile").

I need to do this again because it really did help to look back at it when I need encouragement.

Tuck this in your back pocket when you need it.

And this too.

This is such a good prayer.

I'm not crying, you're crying.

Needed this.

The sweetest.

It's so true.

I'm about to get uncomfortable next week in my new job.

Hahaha.

I miss summer already.

I feel seen.

I hate the days getting shorter!

Agreed.

My SIL sent me this and it made me laugh.
