The weather has been incredible here. Sunny. A balmy 80 degrees. Perfection. It was one of those evenings where it was just a crime to be inside. So we sat on our balcony, lit candles, enjoyed our view, and talked. We laughed, talked some more, dreamed big dreams, and before we knew it the sun was gone, the bats were out, and it was time for bed.
It was one of those moments that was so perfect and fun. It was one of those moments I won't forget. It made me think of that song by Darius Rucker called "History in the Making." In the chorus, he sings:
"This could be one of those memories
We're gonna hold on too, cling too, the one we can't forget
Baby this could be our last first kiss, the dawn of forever
What if this was that moment, that chance worth taking
History in the making"
It was just a simple memory. But sometimes those are the ones I'll remember even more than the extravagant ones. Maybe that night where we dreamed big dreams and laughed til it hurt was the start of our history in the making.
