Life Lately

We had a really low key Thanksgiving weekend. Lot of reading by the fire. Walks around the neighborhood. Parenthood and How to Get Away with Murder marathons.

We put up our Christmas tree and decorated. I love the Michael Buble Christmas station on Pandora. It was a super low key Thanksgiving. G made a traditional South African meal and we watched Home Alone.

I love the glow at night. We had two strands of garland for the fireplace mantel but one strand burned out. Bless G's heart. He went through every bulb and they were all dead. It just isn't the same! We need to buy an extra strand.

In the meantime we hung up the extra garland on the stairway and it is a nice touch. I like it!

We celebrated Thanksgiving on Friday with my family. We stopped at my grandma's to hang out with her. The above photo is four generations. Crazy!

It was really nice to spend time with her. She was doing so well and we just had such a nice visit.

We went to my parents and opened up a fun new red wine and chatted. My brother was in town so it was fun catching up. Laughing. Talking. Celebrating my dad's birthday. Eating super good food. My mom made the turkey in the crock pot and it was amazing! I didn't take a lot of pictures because I was just really enjoying the quality time.

Saturday and Sunday were super low key. We put Manny's Christmas sweater on (which he loves. For real!) and watched Christmas movies. Cooked. Cleaned.

Put out my winter candles. This is my absolute favorite winter candle and I'm so glad it hasn't been discontinued like all my other favorite scents. It was a relaxing, long weekend and I'm thankful.
