April showers bring May flowers. May flowers bring... SUMMER! Okay, okay I'm jumping the gun. Clearly I need to embrace spring and live in the moment. Summer will be here in due time. So lets take a moment and see what my April goals are...
1. Clean and organize the guest closet. Since I didn't get this done last month it's time to check it off this month once and for all.
2. Lose eight pounds this month. I lost five pounds last month so I would like to up my game and lose eight pounds this month. Summer is coming and I want to be bikini ready!
3. Do one craft this month. I'm in need of a spring wreath. I refuse to take my winter wreath down because I can't bare to have a naked door. Also, it was snowing yesterday. Michigan, get your act together. I also refuse to buy one. I haven't seen one cheaper than $80 and I just won't spend that. So I think I will make this one. I love tulips and this one doesn't look too hard or expensive.
4. Make one new recipe a week. It's funny. When I take a goal like this off I stop doing it. I've been making a lot of the same things or just not cooking at all. It's time to get inspired again and I think making one new recipe a week is manageable. I'm pumped to get my groove back! I'm getting some inspiration here.
5. Read 3 books this month. I'm rereading Heart of the Matter by Emily Giffin because I love her and I kind of forgot how this one ends. I hope to take a much needed trip to the library soon though to stock up on new, fun books. I need more Liane Moriarty in my life!
6. Plan something fun each weekend. I have noticed that if G and I don't make any plans on a weekend we tend to be hermits and never leave the house. I'm a firm believer in having one day of no plans to relax and unwind. But I need to start planning a few fun things so we don't forget to get out and LIVE. Try new things. Explore. Have fun together.
7. Check out a few new churches. We realized last month that we need to start looking for a new church which is the first step. And it's nothing against our current church. It's just hard to get motivated to drive 20 minutes to a campus and watch our pastor on a screen when we could stream it on our computer. Now we need to actually take the plunge and try a few churches. I have two I want to try this month. I'm getting excited about it!
8. Get my hair did. I am still not 100% sure if I'll do red highlights or black but my appointment is still a ways away so I have some time. Your opinions are welcome! :) I'm just looking forward to a change!
What are your goals this month?

I think it's so cool when people make their own wreaths. I agree, $80 for a seasonal is outrageous!
Try home goods, Marshall's or even Joanne's. but that tulip one is beautiful!!!! If you can make that, do it!
And I'd say maybe red for summer, save black for fall?
