Weekend Update

This weekend was a fun one. Friday night we had our company Christmas party and it was a lot of fun. The bread at this golf club was INCREDIBLE. It's a miracle I stuck to one piece.

It was fun hanging out with my team and the wives of some of the guys here. The program was really well done.

It was relaxing and fun to just talk, eat good food and drink wine. Good times!

Saturday we slept in, did laundry, and I read while drinking coffee. I did Jillian's Body Revolution Cardio and then showered and got ready for the day.

We met friends in Ann Arbor at Arbor Brewing Company for a late lunch. It's a really cool place with amazing food and beer. I am already a fan of their Bollywood and Jack Hammer beers per my neighbor's recommendation.

I ordered the macaroni and cheese and it was the best decision. Gouda cheese sauce, onions, peppers and bacon. Yes please!!! It was fun to catch up with good friends we haven't seen in a while.

After lunch we walked over to Grizzly Peak Brewing Company for a drink.

I ordered the Red Ale and it was delicious. We talked more and laughed a lot and it was such a nice time. It was fun exploring a new city with friends. I felt like I was on vacation!

Cheers!

The last stop on our impromptu bar crawl was The Beer Grotto.  It had only been open for about three days so it was fun to be a part of the opening weekend. We tried a few beer samples but the first one I tried was definitely the best. The Griffin Claw El Rojo Red Ale was magic.  G loved it too so we bought a mini growler of it.

They had this truffle popcorn that they were offering free this month so we had to get some. It was delicious!!! I heart popcorn.

We walked around downtown Ann Arbor. There are so many great little shops and so many restaurants. I definitely need to go back and try more of these fun restaurants. We headed to this adorable store called Rock Paper Scissors. Love this shirt!

I also love this dish towel!

And this card. TRUTH! It was just such a fun store. I could have stayed in there for hours. In fact, once we redo our kitchen I really want to go back and buy a few things for the kitchen to make it look really nice.

Afterwards we said good bye to our friends. We ran a few errands and then headed home and took Manny for a walk. He was excited! The rest of the evening was low key. G watched football while I read Amy Poehler's book Yes Please.

Sunday I made the 3 Ingredient pancakes again, but this time I added peanut butter and it was yummy.

I put in some potatoes for dinner later. Took Manny for a walk. We did church online. I ate my leftover mac and cheese for lunch. I read all afternoon while G watched football and didn't get out of my pajamas all day. It was amazing!

We had crock pot baked potatoes and they were amazing! Did I mention I love my crock pot?!

It was the perfect balance of fun and good friends and relaxing at home. How was your weekend?
