Fit Friday!

Happy Valentine's Day! Fun Fact: Six years ago today we had our rehearsal dinner. That was my favorite Valentine's Day. We had family and friends gathered around us to celebrate our love, eat pizza, drink wine, and just hang out at my parents' house. It was such a fun memory. We even did the hustle in my parents family room. Love it. These days our tradition has been to get sushi and champagne and that is what we plan to do tonight too! YUM. What are your plans tonight?

Back to Fit Friday! I had just started to get into a great routine doing Insanity and then I got sick. I'm ashamed to admit I have a hard time listening to my body and Garth had to continue to tell me working out was not a good idea. I just hated to break the habit, you know? I felt a lot better Tuesday, but I just could not get up early enough to do the workouts this week. I know. I know! I do plan to start it back up tomorrow for sure. Here was my workout schedule for the week:

Sunday - Rest
Monday - Rest
Tuesday - Walk 50 minutes
Wednesday - Walk 50 minutes
Thursday - Walk 50 minutes
Friday - Walk 50 minutes
Saturday - Insanity

I did make a few good meals this week. Most notable, my slow cooker mac and cheese. This was a perfect comfort meal this weekend and paired with a salad it wasn't too unhealthy.

I also used my crock pot for some French Onion Soup action and it was so good paired with some roasted brussels sprouts and a nice piece of french bread. YUM! It made great leftovers for lunches this week too!

My breakfasts have been an Egg in a Mug which is such a favorite lately.

Lunch has been Progresso Minetrone soup or leftover french onion soup with an apple. My snacks have been Cinnamon Swirl or Blueberries and Cream oatmeal.

The results? I lost another pound for a total of three pounds lost so far! I'll take it considering I've been sick and not working out as much as I would like. A loss is a loss is a loss. My goal is to lose 1 to 2 pounds a week so this is success in my book! How are you all doing?

That's awesome lady! You're doing great! My workouts have been barely there as I've been sick as well. I'm with you, I hate taking time off!
