Fit Friday!

There are two reasons I didn't weigh in today. Here they are:

1. It was a long holiday weekend and I never do well over breaks. There is just too much good food and drinks and not enough will power.
2. Garth was on a business trip most of this week and I learned when I'm alone I eat. I thought for sure I would do so good while he was out because I wouldn't have any temptation from him. WRONG. Turns out, I don't really like extended alone time and eat to fill the void. That is something I'm definitely working on. I know I should be okay being alone. Learn to enjoy it, even.

So I'm cleansing after all that good food. Lots of water. Lots of fruits and veggies. Lots of exercising. Lots of clean eating, like this Vegan Chili recipe I'm obsessed with:

Ingredients
Celery
2-3 medium carrots
1 medium onion
2-3 small zucchini (grated)
1 to 2 cups TVP ( use Bob's Red Mill)
2 to 3 cloves garlic
1 can kidney beans
1 can garbanzo beans
1 T chili powder
1 t cayenne
Dash of salt and pepper
1 to 2 t oregano
1 can diced tomatoes
1 can tomato sauce
1 can tomato paste or V8

Directions
Mix all ingredients in the crockpot and cook on high for 4 hours or low for 8 to 10 hours. Enjoy!

I didn't expect to love this so much, but it is delicious. You don't miss the meat. It's satisfying and low calorie.

How are you all doing this week?

I've been doing pretty good with my eating, but not consistent at all with my workouts. Eating alone is tough though!

My husb works nights every other week and I eat SO much more when he's not home! I've been trying to do a workout video at night when he's gone. Helps stop the snacking!

I love the bowl with the ornaments in the background, so pretty! Good idea to do something cleansing every now and then, wash all the stuff out :) the chili sounds good and full of fiber!

PS SO GLAD you guys are coming in a few weeks! Woo!
