Menu Monday

How is it Monday already? I feel like I blinked and the weekend was over. It was a good one though. Friday night we didn't do much of anything, but on Saturday morning I went to a co-worker's baby shower. It was in our neck of the woods so the boys went to our house to hang out while the girls did baby shower things like eat good food, open presents and make headbands for sweet baby Cali.

Saturday night Garth and I had friends over for a BBQ and bonfire. Since the weather was not cooperating (cold and rainy) we ate inside. Bless Garth's heart, he did BBQ in the cold. On Sunday we celebrated my mom. We went to church and then all met at my aunt's house for a sandwich bar and to open gifts and celebrate my grandma's 89th birthday.

Luckily, I maintained over the weekend (which was the goal) so I'm ready to have another week just like last week. Operation move the scale down! Here is what is on the menu:

Monday - Leftover brats from Saturday with salad

(via)

Tuesday -   Chicken Parmesan in the Slow Cooker

Wednesday - Dinner at a co-worker's house

(via)

Thursday - Crock Pot Chicken Tacos

Friday - Cheat night! I think we are going out to dinner after work and then to a bar to watch a few co-workers' band play.

This week is pretty easy. This weekend we will probably eat leftovers and try out a new recipe with this beef my brother and SIL gave us. Yum! What's on your menu?

I have been a blog reader for a while, but haven't commented.
I completely empathize with your weight journey. One thing I have noticed by looking at your menu plan is that your dinners are all higher carb. Carbs and cheese are my favorite foods so that was my big downfall. I was the most successful when I cut out carbs (other than fruits and veggies) for a few weeks, ate primarily vegetables, and included a lot of lean protein. For example dinner was grilled asparagus, grilled bell peppers, a giant salad with a vinegarette dressing and then a small chicken breast. Just something I wanted to share!
