Decorating Philosophy

I was reading an old issue of Real Simple and absolutely loved these quotes. I loved them so much, in fact, that I just had to take pictures with my phone in order to post them on my blog.  They are definitely my philosophies when it comes to my approach with decorating. Do you agree? Disagree? Have any to add?

I love this quote. Not only in decorating, but in life. It is all about moderation. In decorating. In eating. In exercising. In sleeping. In everything. Balance is key!

Love! I think this is part of why I love my house so much. There are soooo many windows and our house is just so bright, airy and happy with the sun shining in.

AGREED. If my home is not comfortable then it is pointless. I want my home to be comfortable and where I feel safe. I want people to come in and immediately feel safe, comfortable and welcome. 

My one controversial item in my living room is definitely my zebra print accent chair. It is so NOT me because it is so daring and bold. But I love it. It has become my favorite piece in the whole house actually.
