Weekend Recap

We were dog sitting this weekend for the sweetest, most spoiled pup. How cute is he?!

Friday I went grocery shopping after work and then Garth and I ate take-out sushi and relaxed. Saturday my parents came over with a chair they didn't want any more. We added it to the man cave and it looks great. Then went out to dinner. I wouldn't recommend the restaurant because our service was terrible, but the food was great! I hate when service spoils a good thing. This was our second time at this restaurant getting bad service so we probably won't go back. It's a shame because the food is good. I ordered the Steak Tips and Grilled Asparagus:

The steak tips were incredible. Tender. Flavorful. Delicious. I also had their special cocktail of the day, the Berry Dry Ice Martini. Pretty cool:

My parents came back to our house after dinner and we played some intense rounds of ping pong (which Garth and I lost every time!) and darts (which we also lost, notice a trend?). It was so much fun. I'm beginning to really enjoy ping pong and am starting to get pretty good. Garth and I have started to play after dinner and I likeit.

Sunday we went to church and heard an awesome talk on forgiveness. Then we went out to lunch with friends. Garth had football to watch so after lunch I watched CSI all afternoon before the Golden Globes started. Did you watch? I thought Tina Fey and Amy Pohler did an amazing job. They were so funny! It was my first award show with DVR and it was awesome to be able to fast forward the speeches of people I didn't know. Also, I think I need to start watching Homeland. How was your weekend?

Sounds like you had a great time with your parents!
I thought the Golden Globes were great this year! Very entertaining. Homeland is one of our favorite shows but based on how you've reacted to some other shows I don't know if you'd like it. It's amazingly written and acted but it is very violent and often depressing. We also love Girls which won best comedy, it is hilarious.

You absolutely need to start watching Homeland! It's awesome! There are a few gratuitous sex scenes (but is HBO and to be expected)they don't happen often but when they do they aren't shy. Other than that the writing is good and actors are great! I'm not sure if the entire 1st season is On Demand anymore but if it is it's worth it to check it out.
And I would love to try that Martini! I wonder how tough it would be to make at home...
