Menu Monday

First and foremost, I'm incredibly sad and literally sick to my stomach over the elementary school shooting that occurred on Friday. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims' families. I just cannot even imagine what they are going through and my heart just breaks for them. Sending lots of love and praying hard for those sweet families.

This week I made the BEST Broccoli cheese soup  with some leftover Panera bread bowls my co-worker brought in. AMAZING. It was fun sipping white wine with Garth as we made the soup. I love cooking together. I wish we did it more often but with our week days so jam packed it seems weekends our only time. I do savor it. Here is what the rest of the week is looking like:

Sunday - Macaroni Grille to celebrate my dad's birthday

Monday - White Chicken Chili

Tuesday - Mexican Casserole

(Via)

Wednesday - Crock pot Tacos

Thursday - Leftovers

Friday - Spaghetti (Usually just Garlic Tomato Sausce out of the jar, whole wheat noodles, ground turkey, onions and a bit of cheddar cheese)

Gosh, we sure love our Mexican over here. Ha! It is just so easy, quick, delicious and healthy. YUM! I am trying to bring back our Pasta Fridays like we did back when Garth was training for the marathon. Those were fun times. A little red wine, a little music, a little cooking and the occasional, spontaneous slow dance in the kitchen while the noodles cooked. Ahhh I love my life.

What's on your menu? Do you prefer cooking alone or with a friend or spouse?
