Chicago Marathon: By The Numbers



47,000 people ran the Chicago Marathon

37,455 completed the marathon

20,688 male runners

16,767 female runners

4:32 was the average finish time

2:04 was the male winner

2:22 was the female winner

1,600 people ran for World Vision

45,000 runners from all 50 states and 115 countries came to Chicago to run the marathon

$1.6 million was raised to provide clean water in Africa 

Garth completed the marathon and because of the money raised through World Vision over 47,000 people in Africa will have clean water FOR LIFE. 

Priceless.

Congrats Garth! I too have ran a full marathon and it was the hardest thing I have ever done! Kudos to him and yay for all the money raised to help others!
