Life Update

I love Law & Order: Special Victims Unit. My favorite kind of Sunday is leisurely watching a Law & Order marathon. It never fails though. That night I will have nightmares of what I saw. But I still can’t get enough.

So I mentioned last week Garth and I were going to bed at 9:30 every night. Well we went to bed at 9:30 on Friday night too and I woke up at 9:30 a.m. I slept for TWELVE hours. Crazyness!!!

We haven't turned the heat on yet, but we did have the fireplace on for the first time last night and it was nice. I love it!

We finally trimmed our rose bushes that were taking over our house. Like literally eating our house. When the bushes started blocking the pathway to our house enough was enough. We went to town trimming those guys like there was no tomorrow. And by we I mean Garth. I observed.  I could not believe how nice and orderly and neat our house looked after we trimmed. What a difference it made!

Funny story though. We had quite a lot of rose bush branches on our driveway. We needed a way to transport this mess to the fire pit in the backyard, but we didn’t have a wheel barrow. Our solution? Garth grabbed his TV box from the garage and scooped the rose bush debris into the box and dragged it down. Effective? Yes. Hillbilly? Of course.

We had my brother and sister-in-law stay at our house this weekend with their puppies. We had so much fun. We stayed up late talking, making a bon fire, laughing, eating and having fun. Garth even bought these fire changers that change the fire to a blue/green/purple and I teased him for being a 5 year old trapped in a 30 year old body. But seriously? It was really cool to watch them change colors!

I always get so excited to watch award shows so of course I was looking forward to The Emmy’s on Sunday night. I have to say though, I got bored after about 30 minutes. It wasn’t even a bad show. It was entertaining and I love that Modern Family did well. I guess I’m just over it all.

Speaking of TV, last night Garth and I watched The New Normal and Go On and they are both so stinkin' funny and cute. I'm obsessed!! My SIL recommended The New Normal and she was right, it's adorable. I wasn't sure about Go On. I cannot imagine Matthew Perry as anyone but Chandler, but I'm glad I gave it a chance. It is funny and so so so cute.

Also, I watched these shows OnDemand. I cannot imagine life without OnDemand or DVR. How did I not even know about OnDemand? Garth and I forever grateful for my brother and SIL for introducing us!
