Fit Friday: P90X Edition

11 days down. 79 to go. It is a major commitment to wake up extra early to work out an hour every morning, not to mention another 16 minutes after work twice a week for the ab video. But you know? I actually enjoy it. I think the best part is the fact that every day is different. I don’t get bored and I kind of forget what to expect so I don’t dread it. Not to mention that Tony is just funny and goofy. It’s such a nice change to see him genuinely enjoying working out and trying to make it fun for everyone. I wish we were friends in real life. I bet he is a nice guy.

Anyways, I digress. I got on the scale for the first time since starting P90X. I wasn't sure what to expect. I haven't seen the scale drop in a really long time. I have been weight lifting and even upped my weights to ten on some moves so I just wasn't sure what the scale would say. The results? I lost two pounds this week!!!! That was so encouraging and I am so excited about it.

Many people have asked if I have done the Plyometric video the answer is no. It is not in my Lean Program that I’m following. Honestly, I’m not sure I even want to try it. I do ten minutes of Plyometric moves in the Cardio video and I feel like I am going to die. Like seriously, gasping for breath, feel like I’m going to get sick and have to pause the video to get water and catch my breath. It is intense! I will definitely try it eventually, but maybe not for a couple more weeks and I have become a bit more advanced in the workouts.

Here is my schedule on the Lean Program:

Monday  – Kenpo X (kickboxing)
Tuesday  – Core Synergetics
Wednesday – Cardio X
Thursday – Shoulders / Arms Video & Ab Ripper Video
Friday – Yoga X
Saturday – Legs
Sunday – Rest

If you were to ask me which video is the hardest I would tell you Cardio X because of the Plymo moves. The second hardest would be Core Synergetics because of all the plank moves. So many plank moves. My favorite video would be Shoulders / Arms videos. I want toned arms so badly and this video leaves me sweating and working my arms and shoulders so hard I’m sure to get results. I also enjoy the Legs video, but the wall squats are evil. Pure evil.

I didn’t think I would like Yoga, but the more I do it the more I enjoy it. I'm eating good, working out hard, feeling great, losing weight. Life is good. Last night I made this basil pesto pizza with mozzarella cheese, sun dried tomato and artichoke hearts. SO. GOOD.

How are you all doing?

I loved p90x when I did it. I only made it through 2 weeks but I too thought Tony was so funny and enjoyable to workout to:) "Bring it!" :)
