I have found it much easier to meal plan if I have themes. I had already implemented “Pasta Fridays” which make meal planning for Fridays easy. I just look for a yummy pasta meal to carb load Garth for his long runs on Saturday. And we love our pasta! This week I’m also going to start following the trend and implement “Meatless Mondays.” Do you have themes for some of the days of the week? Do you find it easier to meal plan that way?
Here is what is on the menu this week:
Sunday – Baked Ziti (in the oven this time!)
Monday – Spinach and Feta Pie.
It’s a crowd favorite over here so it is in the weekly rotation this summer.
Tuesday – Tuna Melts
Wednesday – Slow Cooker Salsa Chicken
Thursday – Grilled Veggie Pizza
Friday – Pioneer Women’s Asparagus Pasta
Saturday – Mexican Chicken Lime Soup
I tried to add a few new recipes to the mix
because it is so easy to keep eating the same old thing. Even if the same old
thing is delicious! I don’t want to get tired of our tried and true favorites
so I added two new recipes into the mix. Hopefully they will be just as
delicious and we can add to the weekly rotation.
And on a completely random note, I had to share this picture because it is pretty hilarious.

I like the idea of themes for the menu, and ummm... glad you are baking the ziti this time after the crockpot fiasco heehee

theme's would be such a great idea! this would make meal planning so much easier!

I plan my menu mostly based on what I already have/ what's on season or sale.
But that's probably pretty normal?
