Life Update

I used to want to paint my kitchen cabinets, and then I read this and I think we may be way over our head. This looks like a major JOB.

My mom made this cake for my brother’s birthday a couple weeks ago. Isn’t it awesome?! I love it. It is so him too. He is such the world traveler these days.

Have you guys seen Love it or List it on HGTV? I’m obsessed with this show. It is so dang good, even though the system of events in the show is always the same I still love it.

Garth and I went to Olga’s on Monday night and now all I ever want to eat is the Olga Salad and Cream of Broccoli Soup. I think I’m addicted. I forgot how amazing it is. 

I love playing Draw Something even though I am horrible at it. I play with my SIL and brother and it is fun. Garth just laughs at my drawings, or my attempts of drawing. I was really mad last night because my brother drew the most articulate lockers and I clearly thought they were lockers but I was not given the letter “c” in my word bank. I’m still kind of annoyed by this.

Garth and I spend a lazy Saturday walking around our town. We went to the winery to get my dad his favorite wine for Father’s Day, listened to a band playing outside by the Farmer’s Market, ate lunch at a local spot, walked around and drooled over the historic homes, and explored the country western store. 

Yes we have a country western store in my downtown. I cannot believe it took me this long to go inside. I am obsessed! I love this store even though my cowboy boots cost $250. I have never spent that much on shoes or clothes so that was a tough pill to swallow.

But how good does Garth look in this hat?! You can’t see it but the hat has a guitar on the side. I must get this for him and I will demand he wear it all the time.

There was no Menu Monday this week because we have not eaten a meal at home at all this week. These last couple weeks have just been so crazy and we are just running from place to place. I’m ready for a slow down!

I did make the Veggie Pizza again last weekend with cheese this time and it was incredible. Definitely in the rotation this summer!

I used to go to bed at 10:00 p.m. every night, but with our schedule lately we have been going to bed past 11:00 p.m. most nights. It is killer when I wake up at 5:30 to work out and it is starting to catch up with me. I need my eight hours!
