Fit Friday!

(SOURCE)

I'm definitely feeling like that this week.We live in such a fast paced culture where we want it and we want it now. I'm usually a saver and do not rush things, especially purchases. But when it comes to weight loss I am the first to admit that I am impatient.

How did I do this week? I lost two pounds. So I have no reason to complain, I just expect the scale to magically be at my goal weight I guess. I have to remember I'm doing it the right way and making it a lifestyle change. A habit that will stick with me the rest of my life so I'm not always fluctuating between losing and gaining. A balance of eating healthy with a couple splurges along the way.

Lets talk about splurges for a minute. I allow myself one day as a cheat day. It is usually Sunday, but it depends on what we have going on. So this past Sunday we ordered Jets Pizza after church as our splurge meal. By Monday I'm ready to get back on track! It is also amazing how eating healthy improves Garth's runs immensely. Food really is fuel to your body and if you fuel your body with crap you will feel like crap. Case in point - after our pizza filled Sunday Garth had a really hard run on Monday. He struggled and felt awful. By Thursday though, he had an amazing run and felt great. He had been hydrating, eating whole foods and was feeling good.

Here was my exercise plan I followed this past week:

Sunday - rest
Monday - Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 Level 4
Tuesday - Elliptical (30 minutes)
Wednesday - Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 Level 1 (My favorite level)
Thursday - Elliptical (30 minutes)
Friday - Jillian Michael's Ripped in 30 Level 2 (My least favorite level. Too. Many. Planks.)
Saturday - Elliptical (30 minutes)

I plan on doing a whole post on the types of foods we eat during the day. I'm trying to eliminate as much processed food as possible, but it is a slow process. It is a lot of work! But I think with little changes each week that gradually we will get there.

How did you do this week? Tell me your exercise plan!

You did great this week. Awesome job! I should finally be released to exercise next week so I need to find some quick and good workouts to work into my life.
