I need to delay my vacation recap again because I did something really drastic. Something I swore I would NOT do. I chopped my long locks. I wavered back and forth about doing it. But I got to my breaking point. My hair was always frizzy, always tangled, always in a bun or braid and I could not stand it anymore. I know Garth loved my long hair and didn't want me to do it, but I always wore it up anyways so what was the difference? It took two hours from start to finish to straighten my hair. That is just crazy and so I hardly ever did it. It is summertime and I needed something easy and much more manageable.
I originally only had in mind a hair cut to my shoulders with a few face framing layers. I wanted to thin it out and shorten it up, but still be able to put it in a ponytail. Well, when I found out I had enough hair to donate, how could I resist?! So it is much shorter than anticipated and I cannot put it in a ponytail..yet. But you know what? It is for a good cause. Hair grows back. And it only took me 5 minutes to do my hair this morning. I say that is success. And Garth? LOVES it. He says it reminds him of when we first started dating.
Without further ado, this is my new look for the summer:
And the more days that pass, the more I like it. It is so easy and fuss-free and I think I'm getting used to it.
