1. Friday night we had a bon fire with our neighbors and their sweet son, Gavin. I feel so blessed that we are becoming friends with our neighbors. We have a lot in common and enjoy their company.
2. I remember praying that we would get along with our neighbors during our house search. I am so thankful God answered that prayer!
3. Garth made ribs using Emeril's recipe here. Amazing!
4. Garth played in the church band again on Sunday and he even had a solo. He nailed it! I am so proud of him.
5. We have mowed the lawn twice now. Garth LOVES to mow. It's so cute because the next day he'll say, "do you think I should mow again?"
6. Mowing, weeding, and gardening has officially made us feel like homeowners. Loves it!
7. We have been in our house for almost four months now and we have hardly decorated. I thought decorating would be so much fun but it turns out I am so indecisive...and cheap.
8. Which makes it really hard to decide when to have a house warming party. I really want to have one, but I also don't want my house to be so bear either. Am I being irrational?
9. Last week was in the 80s and Garth grilled and we ate outside on our deck every. single. night. It was amazing!
10. It's been cold this week though. Bummer drag. BUT we are still grilling despite the weather.
11. Why didn't we get a grill sooner?! It's been the best investment. We hardly ever eat out now because Garth is enjoying grilling every night.
12. I'm on day 4 of South Beach with no cheating. It hasn't been as difficult as I thought it would be. Though I crave bread something fierce.
13. Why is it when you can't have something you want it that much more?
14. Ok, so Arrested Development has become my favorite show of all time. I am at the end of the second season and I don't think I've ever laughed so hard.
15. Except maybe Friends. I was literally crying I was laughing so hard during Arrested Development. I think Garth thought I was crazy.
16. If you know Garth at all, you know he is borderline obsessed with Arnold Schwarzenegger. He has all of his books and has always looked up to him as a role model for years. As you might guess, Garth is really sad about all this news with Arnold right now. It's always a bummer when your role model disappoints you.
17. We all make mistakes though. Live and learn. I just feel so bad for Maria.
18. I really wanted James Durbin to win it all on American Idol. I hate that he got the boot and I am boycotting the show. Though I said that when Pia left...

It's awesome that you guys like your neighbors! I was the same way about decorating our first house. Go ahead and have the housewarming party! No one will care that it's not perfect yet and it will be a great excuse to have a fun night!
So glad you are enjoying your new home! Decorating is one of those necessary evils...I'm happy with our house now but it took me forever to find the right stuff for the right price!
I love AD too! I just went thru the seasons with Andrew, hoping he'd share the love, laughs, and quotes.. but he never really liked it!! It's hilarious!
I can't wait to get a grill and cook out. Steaks and corn on the cob, get in my belly.
