Surprise, surprise! I'm maintaining. Is my scale broken?! Grrrr! I'm beyond frustrated. I know the reason is because I've been slacking on the weekends and that is what is bringing me down. I am so good during the week and then I slack during the weekend. I am pretty sure that is what is hindering my weight loss.
I want to lose twenty pounds by July because I want to be bathing suit ready for Myrtle Beach so I need to get serious. I have two months, 8 weeks, to lose 2 lbs a week. That's doable, right? I need your accountability because next Friday I want to be down 2 lbs. What are your tips and tricks to being good on the weekend? I need your help! Thanks!

2 weeks per week is doable, I'm sure, if you are good on the weekend!
Maybe you can try to only have one day during the weekend where you eat what you are craving for? It could work.
I know that's frustrating to see the scale at the same point! But maintaining is better than gaining weight!
I wish I had some tricks for you - I have gained so much weight lately that I am the LAST person to get advice from :-/
Best advice I have is switch up your workout routine and workout in the morning when you burn the most fat
Catching up on your blog-
I've been trying to lose 5 lbs for the past 2 months and I've been staying at the same weight for the past month now. (I've lost 2) I know part of it is muscle because I can see me gaining that but the other part is totally the weekend! I feel like I have to only eat at home if I'm ever going to meet my calorie goal. It's soo hard!!
You can do it and 2 pounds a week is completely doable. Just keep picturing yourself on the beach is that bikini!
You can do it! But if you don't, for whatever reason, make that exact 20 pound mark, don't stress, don't beat yourself up, just relax and enjoy your trip!
I hit a plateau despite working out extremely hard and eating PERFECTLY. I finally got advice from a few trainers and was told to limit my carbs for 7-10 days to jumpstart the weight loss. Carb reduction in the short term isn't unhealthy. So, no bread, rice, starchy carbs, etc. If you have fruit, eat it in the AM so you have enough time to burn it off. And for dinner, eat nothing but protein and non-starchy veggies. Absolutely no carbs at night because you don't need that immediate energy while you are sleeping. I lost 3 lbs that week. It was hard but worth it.
Also, have you ever read "The Ab Diet"? One of the best "diet" books out there and one that has changed my way of eating forever.
Good luck! You can do it!
I know you can do it Lindsey!!! I agree with Cafe Moka...just try a one day weekend , just to see if that makes a difference. Dx
It's do-able! Cut out the carbohydrates, take it down to 50g a day, do some HIIT and run, run, run! I'm also a trainer, if you need any help, ASK! :)
Hi Lindsey! My name is Janna. I've never commented, but I love reading your blog. I believe you can do 2 lbs a week! I'm really into health and fitness and have found some great ideas, foods, and supplements that help maintain energy and weight loss.
Easy, healthy foods I eat:
-Chobani greek yogurt (u can add fruit)
-Dave's Killer bread with Adams peanut butter and jam. Toast it too!
-oatmeal with blueberries
-cooked egg whites with turkey sausage
-whole wheat pancakes with just a couple egg whites & Fat free milk to mix it.
-albacore tuna on whole wheat wrap
-an apple, orange, & banana are easy between meals with a protein shake or bar.
Those are a few things you might mix in for meals. I know it's hard trying to come up with healthy things all the time.:)
Also, a quick workout that seriously gets results is Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred. It's $10 at walmart and there are three levels, that are each only 20 min. I LOVE it! (I also run too).
And I have found some awesome supplements that have helped me with energy and my husband with losing 20 pounds. They are through Advocare.
Just some ideas! Hang in there!
Janna
