Random Musings.

1. Last weekend Garth and I watched MegaMind and I loved it. That is my humor in a nutshell.

2. Last night we watched The Tourist and I hated it. I'm not a big fan of Angelina Jolie in the first place but this movie bored me and I fell asleep.

3. It has been cold and snowy/icy this week so we have not been able to use our fire pit. Boo!

4. Garth and I have MAJOR dog fever right now.

5. Everyone at my work is telling me not to get a dog because the freedom of not having kids and being able to do what we want, when we want is invaluable. A dog would restrict that freedom and is a lot of responsibility.

6. They have a great point. We love our freedom and aren't sure we are ready to give it up.

7. So this weekend we are dog sitting a super sweet golden retreiver and we could not be more excited!! It will be a good test.

8. I'm a huge fan of Emily Giffin's books and I'm reading Heart of the Matter right now and loving it. And I could not be more thrilled that Something Borrowed is going to be a movie!

9. Anyone else watching DWTS? I'm enjoying this season. I adore Christy Alley and I thought she did great.

10. I'm also enjoying American Idol this season. There is some serious talent this year and my favorite is James Durbin. He reminds me of Adam Lambert so I think that is why I am routing for him.

11. My best friend Claire came over last weekend and we had a great time hanging out with her.

12. I think you are all caught up on my life now. You saw all our house projects earlier this week and that has been keeping us pretty busy when we aren't working. What's new with you guys?

We have 2 dogs and no kids. Dogs are much easier than kids because they can go to a kennel (if it's trustworthy...) or people will dogsit. I dont think it's been an impact on our freedom much at all. I hope your weekend trial goes well!

Oh my gosh!!! LOVE Emily Giffin and cannot wait for the movie. I’m reading one of her books right now and Heart of the Matter is next on my list :)

I love my dog! I am lucky that he comes with us when we go to some of our friend's homes and my IL's adore him. I never have a problem with people not wanting to watch him if we need it.

I am looking at reading that book next. I have been slacking in the reading department, except for baby books :)

Chris and I still do pretty much everything we would do without a dog.. we love our Layla.. but when we have to go somewhere we normally just get my sister or the roomies to dog sit.

I am sure it will be totally different once we are in our own space just the three of us though.

What kind of dog do you have in mind?

He reminds me of Adam Lambert too! Everytime I say that people look at me funny. LOL

Read heart of the matter for book club! Loved it! As far as dogs, I'd have to say that tho I love my fur babies, I wish we had the chance to just up and go where we wanted, when we wanted. Weve had dogs our entire marriage. On the other side, the love and cuddles you get from your dogs def know how to warm my heart!

I agree with what your friends said about the dog. Once you get a dog, it's hard to plan random get aways or being away more than a few hours at a time.

I sure wish it would warm up soon. I'm so sick of the snow and cold temps. Burrrrr!

We have two dogs...well and baby on the way, but the dogs were never that much of an issue. We've always had kids from church come dogsit or we'll send them to my mom's house.

I loved MegaMind, too!! It was so great!

And for AI, I loooove Paul! He's who I'm rooting for! I'm not a Durbin fan. He turned me off when he was mean during Hollywood week.

I’m not a big fan of Angelina either and based on what you said, I’ll definitely be skipping The Tourist. I’m sorry the weather has been cold and I hope it warms up soon. Have fun dogsitting! Pups are the best :)
