Life Update.

1. We had Garth's family over two weeks ago and I made Tasty Kitchen's White Bean Chili Casserole and it was a hit!

2. While Garth's family visited we took Lilly sledding for the first time and she LOVED it!

3. My MIL made the cutest cupcakes for Garth's birthday and they were yum.

4. Last weekend we had our first party at our house for the Super Bowl and it was so much fun. I wish I remembered to take pictures (bad blogger!). I assure you there was lots of football watching, laughing, game playing, and good food.

5. We received such a special house warming gift from my aunt and uncle - a gorgeous quilt with our closing date on it!
6. Garth and I volunteered for Million Meals at our church this past weekend and had a blast. Feed My Starving Children is a great organization and if you get the chance I would highly recommend volunteering or financially supporting this great cause. In our 2 hour session packing food to send to kids in Haiti, Cambodia, and Guatemala we fed 224 kids for a year, woohoo!

7. We have been seeing deer in our backyard!

8. It has been cold in Michigan so we have been making lots of warm, healthy meals. I highly recommend this white chicken chili, it was so delicious!

9. Garth surprised me with sushi and champagne and a gorgeous diamond heart necklace for Valentine's Day/our anniversary. I was so shocked!

10. Garth and I have been watching Parks and Recreation and Chuck and really enjoying these shows.

11. I think I'm all caught up on our life now. Life has been good!

We LOVE Chuck...but sometimes think we're the only ones in the universe that watch it! Glad we're not alone!

Thanks for the update!!

I'm doing a fundraiser for Feed My Starving Children on Finding Joy in My Kitchen right now!! I challenged my readers to collectively feed 75 children for a year -- we're moving towards that goal. What an incredible organization.

Can't wait to see photos of your place as you're settling in. Glad you've had a chance to enjoy cooking more and making your place your own.
