Sometimes.

Sometimes I'm afraid I'll never want to be a mom.
Sometimes I cannot wait to be a mom.
Sometimes I feel stupid.
Sometimes I feel smart.
Sometimes I feel beautiful.
Sometimes I feel ugly.
Sometimes I feel thin.
Sometimes I feel fat.
Sometimes I want to adopt children.
Sometimes the thought of adoption scares me to death.
Sometimes I am afraid we will never find a house.
Sometimes I feel close to God.
Sometimes I feel distant from God.
Sometimes I feel like a great wife.
Sometimes I feel like a terrible wife.
Sometimes...
But God is bigger than all of my fears, all of my insecurities, and all of my monsters. He is bigger and He is REAL.
Sometimes when I doubt being a mother, God shows me I'm a great aunt.
Sometimes when I doubt my intelligence, God reminds me I have my masters.
Sometimes when I doubt my beauty, God reminds me He made me in His image.
Sometimes when I doubt our future, God reminds me that He is in control
Sometimes when I doubt my relationship with God, He reminds me of His grace.
Sometimes when I doubt, God reminds me that He is bigger.
God is always love, always truth, always faithful, always.

Isnt it crazy how each day... or even each hour.. holds something different for us? We, as women, are such thinkers.. & worriers... & carefree... oh geez - here I go along with you now! :)

Lovely post... my point - you are not alone in these things.

One verse that is comforting to me and my barrage of thoughts is the one that says to take every thought and make it captive to the feet of Jesus. I can't remember the reference but it reminds me to take every thought and leave it at Jesus' feet. (-:

Absolute truth! It's amazing how the worrying can bog us down isn't it? And if I'm not worrying about something I'm bound to be worried that I'm forgetting something!

Great post, girl. I just finished a book on Insecurity by Beth Moore and she drives home the point that the bottom-line is to trust God. All the time. No matter what. Keep up the good work. :)

Isn't crazy how all of us can so readily relate to your post! We women are quite the thinkers, aren't we? :)
