Thankful.

Roof over my head.
Sushi.
Money in our savings account.
Hawaii.
A job.
My health.
A husband who loves me more than I could imagine.
American Idol.
My car.
Family who love and support us.
Country music.
Vacations.
Pictures.
That I laugh everyday.
The ocean.
Friends I can call in the middle of the night.
Cheetos.
That I am made in His image.
Sunsets.

The economy is shaky and things are uncertain, but I know God sits on the throne. He is in control. He knows the plans He has for me. He loves me more than anyone. I trust in Him. Though things may look bleak, I have faith in MY Savior because He reigns now and forever. And I'm thankful for that.

You are so right! It is so easy to be scared during these shaky economic times, but it is important to remember who is really in control! I love this post!

Thanks for posting this. It's easy to lose perspective when things are less than perfect.

Thanks for posting this gentle reminder that everytime I want to to complain I have a billion things I need to be thankful for. Especially in this economy. I have a wonderful husband, a loving family, savings for our future, a wonderful job lined up, and a God who loves me.

I just posted something about being thankful this morning as well on my personal blog! And I have this taped to my laptop:

Jer. 29:11 | For I know the plans I have for you - plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

I love this list because it's a goo mix of things like family and then things like sushi! Great post as usual!

Thank you for this reminder.

It's so easy to become sidetracked and it's vital that we evaluate and really put things into perspective. You're so right.

Loved this.

Great Post Lindsey!

"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?"
