What a man wants

So Garth and I were discussing our future last night. I realized all of our "expectation" talks from permarital counseling had gone out the window as I listened to what he said:

"I start imagining us coming home to our house with you in an apron, making me a delicious dinner. You are waiting for me as I enter our new home. After we eat, we make our way to the ping pong table for a few games and then sit in front of our big screen TV in the oversized TV room with wood floors."

My response? I laughed for a VERY long time.

I'm almost positive he was joking. Almost.

does that mean that the rest of your day previous to him arriving home, you can do whatever you want? Sounds like a dream to me.... =)

That's funny... Dream is right. I kind of have that life. Well minus the apron and ping pong table. I actually enjoy it more then I thought I would. I still get to go to work some days but most I am just a house wife and it is nice.

HA! Since I have been home Mr. Newlywed has said more than once "Don't you think you would like this everyday? I like having dinner as soon as I get home from work."

Yes. I would like it if it was appropriate to drink at noon to make it through the painful boringness.

Oh, and I have about $500,000 worth of degrees.

Men and their silly dreams.

Good thing we love them, because they are usually so weird!!!

Mr. Perfect's before marriage goals versus now have also changed drastically.

Of course his before marriage still included "I hope she'll start cooking."

He knows better than to even hope for than anymore!!
